is tru. And she's gonna get Infinity Billion Dollars for a settlement. Stop me if you've heard this one before. I heard it awhile ago and thought it was bullshit, but apparently it wasn't.
http://www.slccglobelink.com/news/20...s-785067.shtml "Mother of the Matrix" Victorious Monday, October 4th 2004 ended a six-year dispute involving Sophia Stewart, the Wachowski Brothers, Joel Silver and Warner Brothers. Stewart's allegations, involving copyright infringement and racketeering, were received and acknowledged by the Central District of California, Judge Margaret Morrow residing. Stewart, a New Yorker who has resided in Salt Lake City for the past five years, will recover damages from the films, The Matrix I, II and III, as well as The Terminator and its sequels. She will soon receive one of the biggest payoffs in the history of Hollywood, as the gross receipts of both films and their sequels total over 2.5 billion dollars. Stewart filed her case in 1999, after viewing the Matrix, which she felt had been based on her manuscript, "The Third Eye," copyrighted in 1981. In the mid-eighties Stewart had submitted her manuscript to an ad placed by the Wachowski Brothers, requesting new sci-fi works. According to court documentation, an FBI investigation discovered that more than thirty minutes had been edited from the original film, in attempt to avoid penalties for copyright infringement. The investigation also stated that "credible witnesses employed at Warner Brothers came forward, claiming that the executives and lawyers had full knowledge that the work in question did not belong to the Wachowski Brothers." These witnesses claimed to have seen Stewart's original work and that it had been "often used during preparation of the motion pictures." The defendants tried, on several occasions, to have Stewart's case dismissed, without success. Stewart has confronted skepticism on all sides, much of which comes from Matrix fans, who are strangely loyal to the Wachowski Brothers. One on-line forum, entitled Matrix Explained has an entire section devoted to Stewart. Some who have researched her history and writings are open to her story. Others are suspicious and mocking. "It doesn't bother me," said Stewart in a phone interview last week, "I always knew what was true." Some fans, are unaware of the case or they question its legitimacy, due to the fact that it has received little to no media coverage. Though the case was not made public until October of 2003, Stewart has her own explanation, as quoted at daghettotymz.com: "The reason you have not seen any of this in the media is because Warner Brothers parent company is AOL-Time Warner... this GIANT owns 95 percent of the media... let me give you a clue as to what they own in the media business... New York Times papers/magazines, LA Times papers/magazines, People Magazine, CNN news, Extra, Celebrity Justice, Entertainment Tonight, HBO, New Line Cinema, Dreamworks, Newsweek, Village Roadshow... many, many more!... They are not going to report on themselves. They have been surpressing my case for years..." Fans who have taken Stewart's allegations seriously, have found eerie mythological parallels, which seem significant in a case that revolves around the highly metaphorical and symbolic Matrix series. Sophia, the greek goddess of wisdom has been referenced many times in speculation about Stewart. In one book about the Goddess Sophia, it reads, "The black goddess is the mistress of web creation spun in her divine matrix." Although there have been outside implications as to racial injustice (Stewart is African American), she does not feel that this is the case. "This is all about the Benjamins," said Stewart. "It's not about money with me. It's about justice." Stewart's future plans involve a record label, entitled Popsilk Records, and a motion picture production company, All Eyez On Me, in reference to God. "I wrote The Third Eye to wake people up, to remind them why God put them here. There's more to life than money," said Stewart. "My whole message to the world is about God and good and about choice, about spirituality prevailing over 'technocracy'." If Stewart represents spirituality, then she truly has prevailed over the "technocracy" represented in both the Terminator and the Matrix, and now, ironically, by their supposed creators. Stewart is currently having discussions with CBS about a possible exclusive story and has several media engagements in the near future to nationally publicize her victory. Lots more funky info on the whole nefarious affair right neeyah. Craziest part is WB made the Wachoski Bros sign a non-disclousure agreement for Matrix 2&3 so they wouldn't get in shit, explaining thier "recluse" status for the Press rounds for those flicks. http://www.daghettotymz.com/matrix/p...achowskis.html Any smoking gun links/info about this?

Ah, come on, that's a bunch of horse-shit! Lando Calrissian was a black guy, you know. He got to fly the Millennium Falcon, what's the matter with you? Hooper: Who said that? Holden: I did! Lando Calrissian is a positive role-model in the realm of science fiction fantasy. Hooper: Man, fuck Lando Calrissian! Uncle-Tom nigger! Always some white boy got to invoke the Holy Trilogy. Bust this. Those movies are about how the white man keeps the brother man down even in the galaxy far, far away. Check this shit. You got cracker farm boy Luke Skywalker--Nazi poster boy: blond hair, blue eyes--and then you've got Darth Vader, the blackest brother in the galaxy, Nubian god. Banky: What's a Nubian? Hooper: Shut the fuck up! Now Vader, he's a spiritual brother, you know, down with the force and all that good shit. Then this cracker Skywalker gets his hands on a lightsaber, and the boy decides he's gonna run the fuckin' universe. Gets a whole clan of whites together, and they're gonna bust up Vader's hood--the Death Star. Now what the fuck do you call that?! Banky: Intergalactic civil war? Hooper: GENTRIFICATION! They're gonna drive out the black element to make the galaxy--quote, unquote--safe for white folks. And Jedi's the most insulting installment, because Vader's beautiful, black visage is sullied when he pulls off his mask to reveal a feeble, crusty old white man! They tryin' to tell us that deep inside, we all wants to be white! Banky: Well, isn't that true? Hooper: (shoots banky and goes insane) BLACK RAGE! BLACK RAGE! I'LL KILL ANY WHITE FOLKS I LAY MY MOTHAFUCKIN' EYES ON! |

http://www.daghettotymz.com/matrix/p.../jcameron.html JAMES CAMERON - Defendant [Director] (1) Used the stolen 45-page outline to create the movie “The Terminator” (2) Sold the script to “dummy” production company Hemdale Films (in bankruptcy court proceedings) which got 50% of the deal. (3) He sold his 50% interest to his producing partner/wife Gale Ann Hurd for $1 (which gave her control of half the sequel rights). (4) Directed the movie. (5) Had an association and financial partnership with Fox for over 20 years. (6) Conspiracy and fraud. 20th Century Fox Productions - Defendant (1) June of 1981 to July of 1985, the Epic “Third Eye” manuscript was in their possession. (2) Created “dummy” company(s) xxx (A) Hemdale Films xxx (B) Artisan Entertainment xxx (C) Carolco] (3) Created “Terminator I & II” movies. (4) Fox funded all of Cameron’s film projects including both “Terminator” movie franchises. (5) Conspiracy and fraud. Thats kinda kooky cuz I forget what studio poined up the dough for the first terminator movie, but they folded soon afterwards. ORION, I think it was called, I dunno how Fox gets pulled into it. BUT she's also getting cash for "The Terminator" franchise as well. Hell when the first terminator came out Harlan Elison was freaking out so they had to ad the credit: "With Acknowledgement to the Works of Harlan Elison" to the end. Quote:

The Terminator aspect of the lawsuit of it sounds kinda sketchy to me, but the timeline does work out: she had her script done in 81 and Cameron's first draft of The Terminator is 81 or 82. But, just to contradict myself for kicks, Robots, Futuristic Dystopias & Messiahs are kinda general concepts and if Such and Such company had the "Thrid Eye" script and Such and Such company had the Terminator she can easily point to it and say "Ah-HA! Another rip-off!" J. Micheal Strazinsky almost did the same thing to Paramount when DEEP SPACE NINE went on the air, cuz he tried pitching Babylon 5 to Paramount as well. By contrast, I think the Wachoksis sound guilty as hell. Don't matter though, apparently she's getting cash compensation for both The Terminator & The Matrix, so she'll be rollin in it scrooge mcduck style. |

There's a whole forum about this whole lawsuit right here: http://www.matrix-explained.com/php/forum-25.html feel free to dive in cuz you'll probably glean more info. I know there were a few script pages of "Thrid Eye" kicking around somewhere, cuz I read them, like a year ago online. (in the end The Hero decides to stay plugged in cuz his family are programs or something)
Poor Cameron can't catch a break with The Terminator. First he doesn't get to cast who he wanted for the role, then he had to starve for a year while the movie was in limbo, then Harlan Elison sues him, then The Terminator rights get sold to some other company & now this. Ah well, ALIENS is still pure goddamnit . . . unless you want to call it a Starship Troopers rip off. :erm |
