I know about *this* much about him ... But what I know intrigues me. If I were going to, say, buy one Nick Cave album, what would you suggest? Something solo or something from The Birthday Party? Particular tracks? Musical associations or funny stories I should know?

he's australian, but lives in london and treats making music like a normal job. that means he gets up in the morning, drives to his office, writes music until about 5 pm and then goes home again. and this is actually true.
