Catholic to non-practicing Catholic to practicing Lutheran to non-practicing Lutheran to agnostic, which has my entire family and former church up in arms, but we won't get into that right now.

Edit: Actually, yes we will. As an example, my mom won't tell some of her relatives about my switch when they ask about me, even though it drives her crazy and makes her very sad that I don't believe in Christ, because said relatives will call me and tell me I am going to hell and tell me that when the Rapture comes, Jesus will smite me. And so forth. Said relatives are ignorant, anti-Semitic racists. They make me want to cry whenever they talk about it.

i went to catholic school for 15 years and its definitely had some kind of positive effect on me. however, i look back now i never took the actual mass seriously. do i believe i'm eating jesus' body? nope. i don't go to mass much anymore cuz i just think its silly. and i don't like the close-mindedness of the catholic church. however, i do still have alot of convictions because of the catholic faith and i think if i went to the right church it would renew my faith in everything. however, none of the catholic churches around here are very progessive. my church at depaul was great/

I'm so glad my relatives and I only pretend to give a fuck about each other's existence. http://www.netphoria.org/wwwboard/smile.gif

Edit: The copious b's and /b's confuse me so easily.

Somehow this seems like a pattern. Does anyone know any PRACTICING Catholics? Except their parents. Parents are automatically immature and lose 20 IQ points after spitting out and raising a kid http://www.netphoria.org/wwwboard/wink.gif.

Hurray for unintentional rhymes. If I wasn't so lazy I'd put in a Dr. Seuss image.

My family raised me to be Catholic..and now.. after I outgrew my gullibility..er.. I'm am an Agnostic.. I just didn't want to believe in a magic sky man who had left my prayers unanswered..so yea..

And I'm fine with any organized religion that doesn't try to force their beliefs on people.. and try to covert them..or whatever..but that's just my opinion.. *smilez*..

..Oh..and those tv evangelists are pretty damn annoying too..

This is one of the dumbest posts I've read in a long time. I don't think you have any fucking idea what you're talking about.
