Default So I'm just getting into the Cure

I'm only 15 and I just really started listening to music a year ago. I'm finally getting into the Cure but they seem to have a lot of albums out...where should I start?

Start with Wild Mood Swings if you don't feel that burning twelve dollar bills would be an entertaining enough way to waste money.

edit/disclaimer: I'm only recommending this because it's the first Cure album I ever got, and some of my favourite songs are on it. Download "From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea" and you'll see what I'm talking about

the self titled one is pretty approachable, after all my little brother got into it and he usually likes 50 cent.

I definitely suggest "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me"!!!

Not only is it one of the Cure's best, easily, but the value is stellar, as you get 2LP's on one CD. It was my first Cure album, about a year ago, and you get classic Cure sound, and writing, with the tracklisting covering all ground. You got superb pop songs with cheer, like "Hot Hot Hot!" and "Just Like Heaven", and dark moody songs like "The Kiss" & "Torture"

Trust me redbreegull. If you are even remotely interested in The Cure, you'll love "Kiss Me.." I'm so certain, that I'll pay for your damn copy if you're not glad

....Dammit, I love that album!

As hater of untr00 pink goth, I'd recommend you Pornography wich is their only album really worth to bother.

no way. definately not the album to start with.. almost as bad as starting with wild mood swings. you won't get them at all.

yeah you have to start with either staring at the sea, galore, or the greatest hits, then move onto full albums

whatchoo smokin?
Greatest Hits are a waste of time. If you wanna get into a band, get to know them by their actual albums, that you'll buy anyways.
Greatest Hits are for old ladies and 8-year olds

redbreegull: Don't waste your ash on a GH cd. If you just wanna sample a band, download some songs.

Head on the Door is hands down the best all-around Cure album IMO. Disintigration is good but it's a tad monotonous for me sometimes.
