it's really annoying how people write off posters as being tacky or for 12 year olds. wall to wall posters, in shitty shape of the same bands can look like shit, yes, but neat, well presented posters with plenty of wallspace can look really classy and tasteful. my new room is a few posters of my favourite bands and movies of all time and it by no means looks like a teenagers room. people need to get over themselves and their views of what it means to be "adult".

What's with this posters are for 12 year olds crap? I guess when you frame a art print or a picture of Miles Davis it stops being a poster. I have awesome posters. Most of them would look fantastic in frames, but honestly, part of the fun is the layout. I should take pictures of my walls sometime.

I will acknowledge people's taste in posters usually runs to the juvenile, e.g. multiple posters of Kurt Cobain.

I have several movie posters, Fear and Loathing, Usual Suspects, Fight Club. I have a really neat Hendrix poster, reproductions of the covers of Siamese Dream and Kid A, a snazzy blue tinted Miles Davis photo from the Kind of Blue sessions, that black and white photo of Ali standing triumphantly over Frazier daring him to get up in the first minute of their second fight in 65, a Keith Haring art print, a wonderfully dramatic Rage Against the Machine concert poster, and a bunch of interesting pictures from various sources. I also have a reproduction of an old Scott Tissue advertisment that has a guy looking grumpy on it and then in big letters: "IS YOUR BATHROOM BREEDING BOLSHEVIKS?"

in our computer room we have a bunch of posters weve collected over the years. radiohead, sp, and weezer posters i like. amelie and braveheart and harry potter movie posters. also this one, except its the real photgraph which i cant seem to find

I used to regularly go to this record store downtown when I was llike 12 or 13 and they knew me as the Smashing Pumpkins girl and they would set aside single promotion posters for me with sticky notes that said "give to Smashing Pumpkins girl." Those were the days man.

Nowadays I have a poster of a scene in Pulp Fiction, black and white with John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson and the cover of Nothing's shocking by Jane's Addiction (never really outgrew that). I still have all the old ones, there's a couple Kurt Cobains in there, too.

i dont have any posters. or paintings. or plants. or any sort of ornamental stuff. i thought about it, but whats the point? they really dont have any functional purpose.

fyi, plants clean the air you breathe. and does everything you own have to have a purpose? so you have no items that don't have a clear functional use?

my harry potter calender.
3 pictures of my old piercers, the crestfallen lyrics framed, surrounded by glow in the dark stars.
and flyers for 2 NYC parties, one i went to, the other one coming up on the 27th that i'm going to.

it's all very spaced out and except for the flyers, very neat and "adult-like"....

Thats not a T.A.T.U. poster. Its an art poster. i can't remember the photographer that took it. I do know its entitled kiss though.
