i hate waking up in the morning and sitting up then feeling all of it gush out of you onto the pad. i always freak out and think it spilled out.

k, so when you put the instead in....do you get your period all over your hands? it seems unavoidable:erm i mean it's not like it wipes up the vagina as it goes further up, is it?

and it's cool, cuz i didn't get my period either. now i'm on the patch.

I much prefer tampons to pads, but most of the time (for at least the first three days) I wear both. I'm a gusher. (Not really, but that sounded funnier than "I have a really heavy flow.")

I HATE tampax tampons though, because they don't really do much protection-wise. Instead of expanding, they just kinda get longer which doesn't really help. Playtex is where it's at, they "bloom"!

i have used a couple different types of tampons just to figure out which one worked the best, and i really like the Pearl. with others, they leaked a little when i hadn't even had it in that long, but the pearl never did. also, they're prettier and come in better, quieter wrapping!

I gained 10 pounds with birth control pills and then 10 pounds with depo and possibly an extra 5 pounds for the college freshman year.

When my flow's not heavy, tampons are really dry and painful to insert and take out. Also, I'm scared of TSS. I'd rather take my chances with pads even though I feel like I'm marinating in my own blood juices.

i just went off the pill. (ortho-tricyclen.) i had been on it for almost 3 years, during which i put on about 10-15 lbs. since i've gone OFF of it, will i lose the weight i gained while on it?

i've heard that. I always used tampax and never had a problem... i didn't have a very heavy flow at all
