It was alright.
Friday morning was stressful. It was my registration appointment and French 1 class was full, so I had to get on the waiting list as 4th place. I really hope the teacher is kind and will allow me to enroll because I need this class to fulfill the minimum unit requirement. Then I checked my email and found out that I was assigned to live in the freshman dormitory with two freshmen roommates, which caused me to panic and call the housing department. I was really lucky because the dude told me there was one spot left in the junior residency hall and he transferred me there. Also, it's a double and not a triple and this dorm is very close to campus, so a huge weight has been lifted off my chest. Then I went shopping and had dinner with my parents. That was great. That night, one of my best friends came over and we watched Welcome to the Dollhouse and Buying the Cow. On Saturday, I had a buffet lunch with my parents and then we shopped again. We went downtown and then walked to the library. They bought me a Japanese fashion magazine that cost $12!!! That was really kind of them since that's double the actual price of the magazine. Later that night, my friend from high school wanted to see me so I snuck out for the first time and talked to him for like 10 minutes. It was exciting and this was the night of the blue moon! The moon was beautiful.I rode my bike on Sunday morning to the aforementioned friend's house since he lives in my neighborhood and delivered breakfast to him. He played the drums for me and tried to explain how to play but I deemed it to be too multi-tasking for my uncoordinated body. Then we went to his backyard to shoot a plaster duck lawn orniment with his bb gun. It was my first try and I shot the right side of his face off. I felt proud. It got boring so we went back inside to play piano and he taught me the chords to Coldplay's "The Scientist". We talked for a while longer and then I had to go home. I watched Sixteen Candles (I can't believe I sat through that) and Harold and Maude (loved it). The rest of my afternoon was spent cleaning up a bunch of ants that decided to climb up the walls of our house and get inside through three of our windows. This was caused by my father forgetting to shut off the water, thus flooding the home of an insanely large colony of ants. It was sooo gross and most of the ants were carring little white ant eggs. Still, I kind of feel bad for killing some of them. |
