okay, here's one thing. judaism doesn't really talk about the afterlife or you being rewarded after you die. the general concept i guess, although it's not really THE concept, is that god created a flawed world and that it's humanity's job to fix it (tikun olam). this of course stresses public service and love and caring. some people say that once humanity has fixed the world the messiah will come and everyone will be happy. i like the idea of creating a heaven on earth by being a good person, NOT by praying to god.

secondly, i like jewish prayers. they're beautiful. i think hebrew is pretty. i like jewish melodies

thirdly, i like jews. i want my children to be jewish

fourthly, the jewish religion is in severe danger of being extinct and i don't want it to go away. that's why i don't think seperatism (which in the jewish sense is just being wary of converts who won't take the religion seriously, or being wary of going to school where christianity is more or less taught, or being wary in living in a place where there aren't many jews and your children won't grow up in a jewish community) is not a bad thing.
