Arrow And so you find yourself in love with "loveless"

this album is pretty much a standard topic, i'm sure. but, where do i go from here. what are the next albums (not necessarily related to mbv) that one should explore in this shoegazing/dream pop genre, or whatever the kids call it?

anything by a band called secret shine

you'll just be disappointed because none of those are even close to being as good as loveless.

but you'd probably like heaven or las vegas by the cocteau twins

try glifted.... i don't know if you can hear any samples of this so you might just have to take my word on it. in every review it's compared to loveless, and just from listening to it independently i can say i really enjoy it. http://www.parasol.com/catalog/newca...=words=glifted

i'm sorry you couldn't make it. it was the most amazing experience of my life, as of yet anyway. it was basically 15-20 die hard hum fans (from the hum board) staying in the same hotel smoking and drinking for three days. plus we had hum to top it all off. they ended the set with boy with stick as you probably know. . it was the funnest thing ever.
*looks at hum furnace fest poster on wall* sorry to brag.

i ordered the centaur and glifted cds when they came out and i never did get into glifted. i would use it as a music bed to talk over when i was a dj in college... the centaur album is pretty decent though. it is definitely missing the lash of tim but it's not a bad record.

yeah, i saw those pictures. i was a bit jealous looking back on it, i should have hit my friend up for some cizzash and got my ass over there.. i had a ride lined up and everything. oh well

"the lash of tim" haha.. i really like glifted but centaur doesn't do it for me at all.. matt talbott's the master and all, but the songs just bore me ...

netphoria, in general, is too incestuous to listen to someone with three stars. you could probably do a better job than me, youre more in tune to other peoples tastes. besides, nothing even comes close to sounding like loveless. any sort of generic amg riyl genre tree will probably serve people just as well.

Slowdive's Just For A Day is probably the closest thing, a couple tracks anyway.

The Lylis are pretty similar too....
