my roommate's boyfriend is here again. i wouldn't really call it boyfriend because they both kiss and flirt with other people. i guess 'significant other' is the best word with the stress on the word 'significant'. anyways this is the third time he's visited, the first time we left and it was a really unpleasant experience (stayed in a room with a girl who did not stop watching crappy vh1 specials). umm. second time he came we stayed here because my roommate said we don't have to leave. then he came again and a week ago she mentioned he was coming and she was all 'don't owrry you won't have to leave. he's running a marathon and will probably just be sleeping the whole time.'

well, i get back from dinner and it was sort of apparent that while i was gone they had been umm, fooling around, on the floor. and yeah. they're just acting really touchy feely. and i didn't think about it until my other roommate was all 'are we supposed to leave?' and i was all 'umm' but i'm waking up early tomorrow to buy bagels and i can't leave because. you know. plus she never said anything. i dunno. she just left to go to some girl's room and took her peach schnapps with her. maybe that'll keep them away until 2 am. and then they'll come back and 'do stuff' while i pretend to be asleep or whatever.

that sucks, really.... neither of my roommates ever had bfs so it was nice..... i guess it depends on how comfortable you are with hearing htem do things to each other in the night...

i know people who have woken up to their roommates fucking, or fooling around loudly or something. personally i'd be disturbed and would want to leave.

It is THEIR responsiblilty to find a place to fool around where they aren't going to be bothering someone... it may be diffcult but it CAN be done. Like where the fuck does this guy live?

yeah i know. but what can you do it's just easier to avoid an uncomfortable situation by giving in. her friend wrote some shit on our whiteboard, some poem about the two lovers who couldnt fuck or someting and we took the hint and left. anyways. yeah sleeping in that girl's room didn't work so well. i thought i had it rough sleeping off the social lounge. not so. noise noise noise until 2 am (quiet hours). then apparently this girl can't close her window so the noise contnued outside and rendered me awake. so i went into the study lounge to try to work but this loud furnace was distracting me yeah. i dunno. i feel like sleeping but i dont know if it's possible. i can never sleep in alien environments. i just start thinking about death. so yeah. gonna try to read about russia except shucks i realized we had comuters in the building. i have this paranoia that someone's watching me or something.

When my roommate my freshman year had her boyfriend over (without letting me know or asking or anything) and it became clear that he was spending the night and that I should somehow sleep/study elsewhere, I went and got the RA since technically the dorm rules were no overnight guests of the opposite sex (some random guy in our dorm had signed her boyfriend in and claimed that he was his overnight guest)...my roommate got written up and it never happened again.

well the thing is one we are quite allowed to have overnight male guests....you know. the only rule is he's not allowed to use the girl's bathroom. two, she DID tell me a week ago. she told me he was coming and she was all 'but don't worry you won't have to leave. in fact he may just stay with someone else'. but then...i don't know. it was so obvious they wanted us to leave. such a passive-aggressive thing to do. and i got no sleep i have to take a nap. it was just a very weird like mood like it was obvious they didn't want us in there. 'lurking' is how my other roommate described their behaviour. sort of hanging around eyeing us seeing if we'd get the hint.

That's when anchor yourself to your desk, flip on the tv, and make a few lengthy phone calls so it will become apparent to them that you will never leave. It's your room too. And there are three of you. One roommate does not have the right to inconvience two of you.

oh yeah. what pissed me off pretty badly though. well as you know i was up all night n shit, and i went to get bagels at 9 am (on my bicycle -- i wore my helmet lol)

well for some reason the orange juice i'd been drinking all night gave me a stomach ache or gas or something but it wasn't too too bad until i had a cheese sandwich for breakfast -- with onions on it anyways that hurt my stomach and i couldn't finish my chai tea (i always buy shit i don't want to finish) well my friend drank it though (he offered to pay me back lol. does he think i'm niggardly? like he bought an oj and it was the exact same thing i'd been drinking all night and i was all 'how much did that cost' and he said '1.65' and i said 'they sell them for a buck in the vending machine :erm ' or something i dunno.)

oh and we went to food lion and i bought boost

yeah but by that time i was pretty like. my stomach was really hurting me from the onions and i get back and phew my roommate and her bf have gone to breakfast or something! i get back and my other roommate is in there she is all 'there is a SMELL in here and i don't LIKE it' ahh ha ha. well anyways and my roommate makes me take a nap cuz i'd been up all night and i looked really exhausted and shit so i drift to sleepy after reading some and netphoriaing some and like 6 hours later i sort of partly wake up and see my roommate and her bf lying in bed ughy! so i just flipped over and started sleeping again! and then i heard them kissing and whispering to each other and i was all holy shit why why why and it really pissed me off. like i lost sleep for them you know? i left and i sat in the study lounge all fucking night so they could have quality time, and here I am trying to take a fucking nap and they're not respecting it or something. you know? like i left the room so i wouldn't have to be lying there while they make out and there you go. but then i heard typing and i realized my other roommate was in there too! so i sat up and i went to the bathroom and i went back to the study lounge more or less for another 8 hours. yep. because once her little boyfriend left her other two friends came in.

and my roommate is such a gossip lol. my other one. she told eeeverybody i was up all night 'studying' it's like. so many people have gone 'i heard you were upa ll night studying' or something and i jsut sort of go 'umm....sort of' because i wasn't really studying just staring blankly at my book. yeah. and then after that they ask me 'how were the bagels' because i think my roommate finds it really funny that i went on a bagel-buying journey or something. i don't know.

Yeah. Suze, you guys should try and make accomidations that everyone will be happy with. I mean. I think your roomie should be able to have private time with her friends with benefits (FWB), but she should have worked it out with you guys. And I guess.
