"Generation" Gap?
Who guitarist Pete Townshend has addressed Kurt Cobain's quip "I hope I die before I become Pete Townshend," which the late Nirvana frontman wrote in his just-published Journals. "I mourn little Kurt," Townshend writes in a book review for British newspaper The Observer. "Once beautiful, then pathetic, lost and heroically stupid boy. Hard rock indeed."

Out of context. I didn't read as much negativity in his review as whoever created this 5 line synopsis of a large article. I saw a lot more sympathy than bitterness.
