Thank you for making sense, but it's been my experience that most guys are total pussies.

I can vouch for that!

Then again, I've asked many girls out. All ending in humiliation and ridicule. Often in front of large crowds of people. I mean, fuck that! I'd rather be alone for the rest of my life...

haha. i think most 16 year old guys(including myself ) go through the infatuated-with-a-girl-with-a-dumb-boyfriend situation. all boyfriends are dumb when you want them to be.

This guy is actually a pretty good guy. He just has some...flaws. We're kind of friends. We were better friends during soccer season when we saw each other every day and he drove me everywhere....and we're still on good terms and everything....it's just. He's not the kind of guy I can see being good for any girl, really.

Development? maybe?

I was out to eat with some friends...and she called me and said her and mutual friend from first story were going to a movie. So I met them at the theater and was saw Miracle, which was pretty ok. Could have been better though.

But yeah...we had a really good time, and afterwards they came back to my house and we watched some TV and some Family Guy and such.

At one point she was talking about her boyfriend....and how she kinda feels bad about how he's always perfectly content with not seeing or talking to her for extended periods of time. I guess he had talked to her briefly earlier and told her to call him tomorrow or something....so I was just like 'hey, call me instead! heh.' And she goes, 'Yeah, that's not a bad idea.'

Mutual friend got sort of a weird look on her face. She has to know what I'm thinking. The girl has to as well though. People can read me like a book.

egh!

I envy your skill at the quick reply. This one, and the "beautiful" comment earlier.

I would have said some stupid shit like "So is your friend single?"

dude-girls love attention. you keep it up-she'll ditch the guy that doesn't give her the attention and she'll fall for you-assuming she doesn't pull the "he's my bestest guy friend ever!" thing with you whcih would suck. Hopefully her bf wouldn't kick the crap out of you...

heh heh. It sounded pretty gay at the time. But yeah....we'd talked a lot earlier about me calling her before her boyfriend would and doing something to teach him a lesson about having her wait around for him. or something? i don't know, it was during the movie and I can't remember it.

And I still feel like crying when I think of how sad she was last night. I don't want her to be sad. Her boyfriend makes her sad. That should not happen.

i eventually fell for guys that have been like that to me-but i never realized it until i saw it years later. it happens all the time-someday she'll grow up and see-wow , he was always there for me.
I say be a great guy but don't , y'know , smother her or anything. If you keep yourself a little bit at a distance , give her some room , if she has any sense , she'll want you around lots more.

Thanks.

And yeah, she also made some comment about how we should get married so that we can live in my parents' house when/if I inherit it. I thought that was cute. She was obviously joking......but there's a little bit of truth in every joke. Right?

if it were me and i didn't like the guy-i wouldn't want him to even think about stuff like that-so she probably does a little.

just keep rolling the compliments and ask about her life-everyone loves it when people ask how they're doing. treating girls well sometimes does more for you than you think.at least for me..i'm a sucker for the nice guys , i never liked the bad ass guys with a lot of attitude. but i can't speak for everyone.

She's a smart girl. I think she knows what's good for her and all that. I don't know though. I can't wait for like a year and a half. Eventually I'm going to have to make some sort of move, I fear.

But we're such good friends now....I doubt things could continue on if I said something to her and she didn't feel the same way...

I may do this relatively soon. I can't keep it in much longer, to be honest.

I kind of want to test the waters by maybe talking to mutual friend about it. No one in real life (heh) really knows about my feelings.....some people suspect something, but when they make comments about it, they're just being bitches.

Mutual friend could maybe talk to her about stuff and find out where she stands.....I know that's gay...but there's less risk involved. I really would not want to lose her as a friend. I would rather stay in this position than lose her friendship.

Say something like, "Listen. We've been spending a lot of time together lately, and I really enjoy it. In that time, I realized I have feelings for you. I'm wondering how you feel about it?"

I say this because it's what worked for me. It was just layed out on the table and we discussed it. Though it didn't go in my favor (she did say she thought about seeing where it could go, but felt it be best if we stayed as is), the relationship hasn't been affected in any way.

Even though I was rejected, I can't describe what a weight off my shoulders it was. I'd imagine it be the same for you.

Hm. I see.

I can totally imagine her reaction if I were to say something like this. It'd be all 'oh, chris.....aw...' followed by something about how she likes where she is now. bah!

I'd say it's worth a shot though.

(I work with her boyfriend once a week. How awkward would that be. ha)

Hey, even if it is, at least she knows. It may plant the seed to give her a "real" reason to get rid of the slacker. Sounds like she's fishing for excuses as it is.

Just ask her.

If it blows up in your face and you can no longer be her friend, you'll always be able to whack off to internet porn.

Win win really.

Hey Eulogy, i'm in the same situation except my obsession doesn't have a boyfriend, and I'm still too much of a pussy to say anything. So as bad as things get, just think "Well, I'm better off than that loser on Netphoria." Go for it.
