Some how he starts bitching about NAFTA and how it's corporate slavery or something, I wasn't really paying attention because it sounded like he really believed in what he was jibbering about and he's an anarchist/commie which is patently ridiculous. But the thing is he's wearing this hat that looks like it was about 30 bucks and this shirt that was at least the same and I'm just thinking "Man this dude really has no idea that what he's wearing was made by Malaysian children."

I felt like patting him on the head and telling him there is no Santa Claus.

A couple years ago on my way to work downtown there was a big demonstration by all these hardcore left-wing socialists and anarchists all complaining about the homeless and vandalising everything as they went along on this "peaceful" protest.

Most people downtown just laughed at them and yelled at them to shut up and get jobs and stop asking for hand outs.

Later that day these same idiots that were shouting down people like me who have jobs were asking me for change so they can take the train back to their suburban homes far away.

What's really sad is that in my 'Cities' 4th year joint course/grad course offered by the Poli Sci department at U of T, we had one of the main organizers of this demonstration you're talking about as a guest speaker. It was really annoying and I'm sure half the class felt so much indignation at how retarded and clueless this person was. I mean, she really thought that their 'action' had a great positive impact, while it was nothing more than vandalism and stupidity - they basically gave up any chance of making a point by acting like neaderthals.

While I agree that most anarchists are stupid assholes, I think he had a point about NAFTA. It really is almost corporate slavery. Big American corps can outsource labor to Mexico and the like, and pay them shit (hence the near-slave labor), while they get to sell their products for over-inflated prices to the American public. At the same time, foreign countries don't get to sell their products to us at a competative price, so the asshole corps can continue to rape us with high prices. In the end, American consumers get fucked with high prices, American laborers get fucked with unemployment, and foreign laborers get fucked with dollars-a-day pay. NAFTA needs to be re-written, ie, it should ******* some "free" trade (naFTa).
So while the stupid-fuck anarchist messenger might be a dumb-ass, his message might have some value.

Today she kept writing phrases on little pieces of paper and saying shit out loud like "Go ahead, bleed my eyes out," claiming that she was just trying to get the poem in order in her head. I have to sit five feet from this shit all day long. I could understand if she was 16, but she's 22. And the scary thing is that she's married to a 33 year-old guy who she's been dating since she was 15, and they're having problems right now, so I have to listen to that shit too. She's going on a vacation to Utah soon where she'll probably end up cheating on him or something. Yeah, okay, I'm done. I'm using this thread shamelessly as an opportunity to vent.
