share a story about one of the scariest moments in your life. - Page 2

ok, its not that scary, its more funny. but it could be scary if you're really timid..

anyhow, i was playing hockey. it was approaching the state tourney time, so we agreed with another team to combine our two hours of practice so that we had 30 minutes to ourself, an hours scrimmage, and they had 30 minutes to themselves.

so apparently things go fine, next thing i know is i'm on the bus riding home. seriously, that's the next thing i know. and i ask everyone "what the hell is going on?" people say, "dude, you got hit really hard, quit asking us already."

i say, "hey, wasn't there a scrimmage against nauset?" "yes" they say, "for the hundredth time, there was a scrimmage, we won 4-2." "we won? 4-2? awesome."

30 seconds later i had no recollection that i'd asked anything. "dudes, waht happened?" "you got hit, seriously, stop it, its fucking annoying" "hey, we were supposed to play nauset tonight, right?" "YES! We did, you scored 20 goals, it was amazing!" "really?" "yes" "woah"

"hey, what the hell? did we play nauset tonight?" etc. "yo, wasn't there a nauset game toniight?" i had absolutely NO recollection that this conversation happened many, many times. no short term memory. and of course they all thought this was hilarious and fucking with me.

"hey man, lori told us to tell you to go bang on her windows tonight" "really?" "yeah man, if you don't remember anything else, remember this. lori lives two houses down. bang on her windows tonight, she wants to see you, here, i'll write it down" and they kept pounding that into my head, until finally i sort of remembered it. "bang on her windows, and don't worry if her dad comes. he looks mean, but he's just like a teddy bear. he wants to see you too, he likes you." but i finally semi-realized they were fucking with me, i think.

anyways i had parked my truck in the school parking lot that night to take up like 7 spots, diagonal right in the middle. and they wouldn't let me drive, and i missed 2 weeks of school because of the concussion, and the truck stayed like that the whole time. people were pissed, i got some tickts, and a bunch of notes syaing move the fucking truck!

but seriously there is no memory whatsoever of the events. it took more than a month to get semi-up to speed in school again. the end. maybe i'll remember a scarier story.

Last November, my brother had some moles removed. I've had this done, so I thought nothing of it. One day a little later right after I got home, Chris IMed me and told me to call home because my brother was upset. So I called home, and it turned out that his results were abnormal, and my parents were at the doctor's office getting the results.
I stayed on the phone with him till they came home, trying to distract him from the idea that he could have cancer. He was 13 at the time. I didn't cry till I got off the phone and my dad told me a million times he was okay. I can't even write this down without crying.

Last April, I was in my first college play and I was so excited. I only auditioned because my dad pushed me not give up acting. About three hours before I was supposed to be at theatre on opening night, my mom called and told me my dad was in the hospital having emergency surgery. She tried to tell me everything was going to be okay. I called back around an hour before the play was supposed to start, at the theatre.
The doctor botched the operation, my dad got infection complete with a raging fever, and no one had brought him dinner--he's diabetic. I was so scared I was going to lose him and I couldn't go home and see him and my mom left him in the hospital alone because she didn't my brother could be home alone.

On the last day of year 4 I almost got hit by a car. It literally stopped inches away from me.

Went camping with friends one weekend and we're speeding around these corners on our way to the site (it was pitch black, with only reflectors to guide the way) and we took one too fast. Next thing we are heading straight for this rock wall. To this day I have no fucking idea how we avoided hitting it. The car stopped inches away. The next day, we are driving to the beach and suddenly we hear all these screeching tyres. We look in the rearview and this ute (pickup truck) is heading straight for us. He swerved to avoid hitting us. It was really scary because we were in this tiny Pulsar and would have been fucked. I can't believe it happened twice in one weekend.

I hate flying, so everytime i get on a plane is one of the scariest moments of my life.

I have also been chased down and attacked by a dog. Thanks to my doc martens, it's teeth slid off my leg and I got away.
