You say you want to enjoy "married time"... that'll give you plenty of time to do so, and hopefully you'll grow together in your marriage and be able to make a more solid decision on the issue.

Good luck.
good advice

The thought of having a baby scares the fuck out of me, but i think being pregnant would be interesting, and i enjoy kids aged 2+....

I really can't see myself having them. Maybe that's something I would regret when I'm middle-aged. Right now it seems like a responsibility I don't want. I see so many 'breeders' out there who treat their kids like their just a component or accessory in their perfect little world.

My brother is having his first kid at 19 and it's fucked him up and part of me is excited for the family but I'm dreading being in his position.

Unhappy

The thought of being pregnant is terrifying, just as bad as thinking of giving birth. For as long as I can remember I've said I don't want kids, ever. But...it's really funny how things change. I've been volunteering at this French immersion school since September, and I get to teach French and Math to kids in grade 5. You have NO idea how much I enjoy it, and how I would love it...when I'm 30 to have a son or daughter age 4-5, and look forward to the whole experience of them growing up, etc.

Anyway, I think that you're making this "no kids until 30" rule a bit too strict and unrealistic....lots of people posting in the thread gave you great advice, but also you should think of how much married life will change you, and not only that, but just going through these 7 years until then....who knows, maybe you and your boyfriend/husband will decide not to have kids until 35....so yeah, I think you shouldn't make it a bigger issue than it should be, in terms of being inflexible, yet you should discuss it realistically and with a clear mind

ps. sorry this was so long.
