Doing it will show curiosity getting the best of me, but yes.

Ripped out of pages from my stay in hospitals and aeroplane rides hotel stays etc. I feel compelled to say f—k you F—k you to those of you who have absolutely no regard for me as a person. You have raped me harder than you’ll ever know."

thank you verrry much Leon. Make me feel even more guilty.

You mean to imply that you're not the least bit curious?

deep down you know you are.

I'm just acting on it and I'll admit it.

If these diaries had no chance of seeing the light of day I wouldn't even be provoked to read them. But since they are, I am.

so fuck off.

Of course I'm curious.

But I'm also really interested in fucking the hell out of Katie Holmes. Doesn't mean I'm allowed to rape her, even if I pay her dad to do so.

Thumbs up

i saw the the Kurt and Courtney documentary for the first time tonight, but whilst I dont want to go into it I'd just like to say that Courtney Love surprisingly looked totally fuckable in it (guess it was all the make up), even tho I despise this woman beyond words. I guess I'd fuck her, shoot her in the face and steal her money if the opportunity ever arose

as for the diaries yes I probably will read them. As much as I admire the guy i look at it from the point of if i was dead i wouldnt give a fuck about what people read or found out about me :/

I guess you can call it selfish, but I want to know what the hell happened. "He hated fame" being the reason so many people give me as his reason isn't doing it for me. If he hated fame he wouldn't have taken a role in signing Nirvana to Geffen. He wouldn't have had it happen. The pressure of being famous? Please, they still played the game probably knowing full well that they would become huge when Nevermind broke and started getting popular. They could have broke up then if they didn't want to be popular. Many rockstars have that same pressure. When they have any pressure they tend to make it for themselves.

so call me a blood sucking, cold bitch for wanting a reason. I honestly don't care anymore.

Good luck in your dream of fucking Katie Holmes.

I'm not berating you. I just don't support the publication of these journals and I find it weird that so many people are gonna use them as their pornography. It's a question of respect, I guess, and God forbid, spirituality...

Especially when Cobain's wishes were so obviously layed out in the entry I posted, I just can't understand what could drive you to succumb to what I would call a really childish and sick curiousity.

No, you understand. You just don't agree. And for the record I rarely do something like this. Cobain contradicted his words with his actions many times. What the hell did that guy want?

Spirituality? A question of spirituality? Respect I understand, but spirituality? He's not a god, nor does deserve to be.

I don't mean god-related spirituality, just respect for the dead, which takes a degree of spirituality.

And Graveflower, I never understood people's qualms of comparing two things that are way off of each other. Of course the two things I mentioned aren't in the same league, but the form is just about the same.

And yeah, Jen, I don't agree with the shameless, exploitive marketing of a dead man's (whoever he happens to be) private thoughts. I would hope that you would not either.

Well Courtney said she took out basically all love letters, talk about sex, etc. So it's more of a Kurt the artist/junkie dairy.

Interesting note: it was said that Kurt was leaving open (and lying anywhere) is notebooks. Supposely he even wrote on one "read it and after you'll judge" or something like that I don't remember well...

I'm buying this. I don't see much more why I'd feel guilty about it then.

Hey, if you're Catholic and you thought about it, you're already guilty. Might as well just do it. Heh.

Courtney took out all the parts that said "Courtney is a fucking whore and I hate her."

I normally don't either, but it goes back to curiosity. It all leads back to human nature, and we're too damn curious for our own good as much as we all try not to be. It probably took a lot more nerve for Courtney Love to sell his journals than it will take for me or anyone else to read them.

Cobain was marketing his private thoughts through his music anyway. Listen to some of those songs and you hear a lot of his thoughts, what the hell is so different? There are some lyrics out there that are pretty damn personal. Music in general is personal, but he still decided to sign to a major label and put out his personal thoughts he wrote in his lyrics. If it's not personal there's no sense in doing it.

Yes, that's what I said. And other stuff too.

Personally I really care how many times he fucked her ass or how many times he went to the shitter on a particular day.

I think the last thing in the journal is from Feb 94... even though it was said (I believe) that on his last detox (march/april 94) he filled some notebooks (well, some pages in notebooks, I doubt they were all full). So who knows how much was said during that time - the time that Kurt filled the divorce, but never had a chance to sign it.

Grohl also said something like "Courtney likes to write her own history", concerning all that.

Oh well, after all, she has the money/power to do it.

It's different than published/recorded lyrics because Kurt doesn't have a choice if these are published or not. They're being published for the sole purpose of whetting certain people's disgusting urges. Don't tell me curiosity about this kind of stuff is human nature, that's not important. A lot of things (like killing, raping) are human nature but that doesn't mean we can do them.

If Cobain was alive, he would not let these diaries be printed and widely read. That should be reason enough.

No one will admit it but Nirvana were the Papa Roach of there day except they could right better songs. Everything musically that nirvana did had been done before just less melodic.:erm

Please note I do like Nirvana and mean no offence Bleach and In Utero are my two favourite albums and the above is only an opinion.
