Default Múm - Summer Make Good

I just got my shiny promo copy of this in the mail, and I have to say, it's fucking fantastic. A real potential candidate for album of the year, I feel.

In this thread, I ask if anyone else has heard it, and if they could share their thoughts on the album.

the pitchfork board fucking hates it.

i think it's pretty good. it's not as good as their first two albums, but it's good.

That's because the Pitchfork board is populated entirely by dick-stroking elitist fucks who couldn't tell decent music from their own anal pubes.

On first listen, I thought the Liars and Xiu Xiu had some company, but on second listen I figured it's about an 8.5~8.7

Whatever happened to the Pitchfork board anyway? Maybe I'm just an idiot, but whenever I try going to it I get some Stileproject site or something, so I'm guessing they moved. I tried google and can't find it, so could you tell me where?

And by the way, I haven't heard the album or any Mum for that matter, but I've been trying to download it based on all the interest there is.

Thumbs up

I really like it, even if I have listened to it only a few times. The new voice sounds a little weird, but not in a bad sense, the voice makes it sound a little more darker/sad. I wonder if this is a deliberate choice by them or just the change of singer.

I might like 'summer make good' better than 'yesterday was dramatic today is ok'

I really love this album. I think it's beautiful (as with all their work). And fuck Pitchfork and the people who trust in it.
