yes. 1/4th an inch is the minimum if I remember correctly. And you'll still get ingrowns. Just not as fast.

correct!

i get the odd ingrown.
i'd really like to know how to shave without ingrowns since waxing is starting to cost me a pretty penny. i've never shaved "down there" before because of that.

The hairs do grow in different directions so when waxing you have to pay close attention.

i like to make sure my public hair is combed and tied back with a goody band (when im at work).

I recently started trimming down there. It feels much better
