21 as a programmer for an internet-company. it isn't really common for people in austria to begin work before 20/21, when they still go to school.

apart of summer jobs of course. i had my first when i was 15.

my first "real job" was as soon as i turned 16 years old and it was at a pet valu. nearly 6 years later, i still work there. heh. although i was store manager over the summer, and now its just a part time job again until i finish university...

i've had other jobs but i've always managed to keep this one while working at the other jobs since i like working there and its a pretty good paying job for not having to do that much work... and i do my homework/readings for school at work too, so its just like getting paid to do your homework

When I was 16 I became a waitress at Platters, a "nice restaurant" in my rural town.
