Actually that's the only sense that troll has made in this thread. GOP too far left? I don't want to think of what Nimrod's idea of too far right is.

Gephardt dropped out. No one care.

So, let's say Clark upsets everyoen and Dean finishes in 2nd, Kerry in 3rd and Edwards in 4th. What happens then?
1. Yes, he's still a favorite, but like I said, his numbers are dropping like third-class passengers on the Titanic. You're just being silly if you think his comments in Ia aren't going to affect New Hampshire and New Mexico. Yes, NH is an entirely different realm, but stupidity is universal.

2. Pay attention to polls. Edwards' support has been rising very quickly, as has Kerry's. Their rise there basically coincided with their rise in Iowa.

3. I don't think that's going to happen. But if it does, get ready for a dogfight on Feb. 3 among the four of them. Whoever emerges from that will have a huge head of steam for the rest of the campaign. Obviously, the key state there is SC. If Edwards loses that, he's gone, and so is Clark's biggest competition in the South.

he's been *GASP*ing throughout the whole thread and to be like "is that a typo?" when Nimrod clearly wasn't is just a bit OTT (OVER THE TOP)
He's just looking to start some sort of vague, non fact based, insult slinging argument. All the rest of us liberals and conservatives just wanna be friends!

I legitimately didn't know if he was trying to be over the top or mistyped and meant to say the DNP was too far left for him.

I think the leftwing needs alot more mudslinging. This "we're all working for the good of the country, the republicans just think differently" bullshit is just that. Right wingers have hatemongers like Ann Coultier, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Michael Savage, etc - we need someone to call them hateful racists and murderers to balance things out. Al Frakken is the closest thing we've got.

That as well as expanding social programs, increased spending of new programs (that aren't traditionally conservative) and the corporate welfare are prime examples. There are some Republicans I like, and in general I trust them a lot more than the Dems, but there are very few "Goldwater Republicans" anymore.

If I had your views, I'd share the same sentiments.

It's interesting that I think I can understand where you're coming from, but I don't think you can even entertain the thoughts in my mind. Not b/c you're a dumbass but because you're so out there on the political spectrum. But maybe I'm wrong about you Nimrod.

I think so, too, but a lot of that depends on NH. If Clark runs really strong there, he has a very good shot at it.

I agree with just about everything you wrote. I will make a few comments out of the sake of just babbling:

Kerry and Edwards have done really well in the past two weeks ... but you saw Dean fall flat and without any known support in the Northeast, California and Michigan, Edwards really has an uphill battle. He can possibly do it, but I don't see it happening. Kerry and Dean have that broad support, and the money to strengthen themselves.

I don't see that circumstance with Clark and Edwards happening, but NH will be interesting, and 2nd place in SC will be interesting. But, it will go down to the first Super Tuesday, with I believe those four battling just like they were this past weekend.

If Edwards drops quickly, Clark becomes a very formidable opponent.

And someone on CNN just pointed something out that I've yet to point out: Saddam Hussein's capture gave Dean a major hit, for reasons that should be obvious.

Yeah, but another point, again, is money and how much the campaigns have. Of course Dean and Kerry are loaded, but Edwards has little left in Iowa. I wonder how much will come in now and how much Clark will have after his campout in NH.

I think Dean's "hit" came not so much from the Saddam thing, or even the "attack" thing, but from the fact he set himself up as this darkhorse, new age, not from Washington candidate with all this synergy and new ideas, and then all these inside Washington types like Gore and others like 10 days ago gave him their support publicly. This made Dean look exactly like what he was claiming not to be, and it was then that his drop started to come in the polls.
