I merely have the quote and picture of Gandhi. I don't see any context implyign that there is a connection with America. Now I do happen to have some thoughts on individual freedoms and gun onwership does fall into that. However if you are drawign a connection between my current signature and my political opinions, then the action is your own. There is definitely a differnet situation in America now then India under Imperial Britain.

He was advocating gun ownership. He obviously understood the relationship that gun ownership has to the oppression that a government can enact upon its people. That is a principle, not a comparison. I don't think Gandhi advocated actually using guns, but he did advocate their owndership.
