Default The Chicago Bears will win the NFL Central at 9-7

Minnesota will go 1-3 down the stretch, losing to Seattle, KC and at Chicago.

Green Bay will go 2-2 down the stretch, losing to Chicago, and either Denver, San Diego or Oakland.

And the Bears will run the table at Green Bay, home vs. the Vikings, home vs. the Redksins, and at Kansas City

Depending on which Pack team shows up, this is either a ROFL scenario or a totally legitimate possibility.

Green Bay looked like a pile of ass on Thanksgiving.

I saw this quote about the NFC Central yesterday over at Football Outsiders, I think it's fitting.

"Watching the battle for the NFC Central title is like watching the Celebrity Poker Showdown on Bravo. Yeah, it's poker and they're playing for a title, but does it really matter who wins? If the celebrity champion bought in at the World Series of Poker would they make it past the first day? The first hour? It really doesn't matter who wins this division, they'll be knocked out in the playoffs pretty quickly. "

When in recent memory has GB looked like shit against the bears. Brett Farve just knows how to kill us and i'm sorry, but this Bear team is horrible.

They're horrible yes, but you can be horrible in the current NFL and still make the playoffs.

Save for a 4th quarter meltdown against the Rams and the offense forgetting to show up against the Lions, the Bears have looked pretty fucking decent by modern NFL standards the past 6 weeks. Shit, they haven't lost a game by more than 7 points since the last time they played the Gunslinger in week 3.

Yeah, cuz Green Bay would have such a hellacious time competing with the Cowboys or Seahawks in Lambeau during round 1 of the playoffs.

Of the people on here who follow sports, you're the only person who ever makes me look even semi-sports intelligent. And I love you for that.

Yeah, their D isn't that bad, it's the offense that pisses me off. Shit, can we pass the ball more than 5 yards please. Thank you. I like the Bears. I hated them until Dan Marino retired and then I started liking them. Still, I try not to put too much hope in them because frankly, they won't go far in the playoffs. Let's hope i'm wrong.

I kind of think this is exactly what the Bears didn't need happening - still being in playoff contention and consequently not getting Grossman any action.

But how cool would that be for this team to go to KC on the final week of the season with a shot at the division title on the line.

Awwww, thanks

People were saying the exact same thing last year when the Falcons went to Lambeau and whooped on them, and this Green Bay team is no where near as good as last years team was. Not to mention the whole Favre thumb thing where he can hardly even grip the ball in cold weather.

Yeah, I want to see what the rook can do. But it probably wouldn't matter any since he wouldn't be allowed to pass for more than 5 yards.

It would be cool yes, but it's not going to happen. Not this year.

Good points. But have ya seen the Cowboys play anyone worth a shit that wasn't missing their starting QB (other than your beloved Panthers of course ). And have ya seen the Seahawks play on the road?

Actually, I haven't since the NFL, Fox & CBS keeps forcing feeding me a steaming pile of 49er, Charger and Raider games on my tv. And I'm convinced that Thanksgiving day massacre of the Cowboys by the 'Phins was a fluke.

But how can you doubt the quarterbacking of Quincy Carter and Matt Hasslebeck!?!? Ok, maybe you're right...

And let's just pretend that Panthers/Cowboys game never happened

Back when I lived in Chicago, I bumped into Walter Payton once at a car dealership and blew him for $50.
