The psychology of the enemy can have a far larger impact than equipment or training.

The thing about China VS USA is that both armies aren't as motivated as they should be. The US has the problem of having college kids who shit their pants whenever they pick up a bullet instead of hardened troops. China has a different problem, in which most soldiers are forced into military service and aren't trained very well. They are very comparable to the USSR military of the late 1980s, except without the advanced technology.
The US constantly gets their ass kicked (Somalia, Vietnam, Iraq) because their enemy is motivated. They know that if they lose, everything they know and their country will fall to the enemy. The Americans will just go home. It doesn't matter how many resources someone has, if you are motivated enough, you will kill the enemy by any means you have.

You people are trained to go into combat and not be afraid. Obviously, its not working anymore.

Dude, I'm all about equal rights, but I'd prefer less women in the millitary all together, and not because they're women, but because having women in combat situations changes the way we fight and act as an army. Look at the Jessica Lynch thing: it wouldn't have been a big deal if he was "James Lynch." People (thank you media) react so much more strongly if a woman is killed. The media blows it all out of proportion, so commanders are less likely to put their troops into combat. Also (thank you, Bill Clinton) the armed forces now have KGB-esque civillian "observers" that make sure that the forces act in a "politically correct" manner, which affects the fact that other soldiers are hesitant now to even interact with women soldiers. No, we don't need women in combat. You shouldn't have to think about shit like that when you're in a war. You should just be able to concentrate on objectives. They can make all the Meg Ryan and Demi Moore women soldier movies they want, but the fact of the matter is, it is rarely like that.

well it's not. i mean obviously. i'm still alive. so i'd go for the throat too. but i think cutting it would be too hard. it would be much easier to just give yourself one good jab to the jugular with a big knife. as hard as you can now.

I mean, it seems pretty fool-proof, but I'm wondering about if I need to cut really deep for it to be effective
