Eat less, exercise more.

Worked for me to drop a good 80 pounds over the course of 8 months or so.

one small thing that makes a huge difference: stop drinking soda and drink more water. i lost a lot of weight doing that and i felt healthier in general. and my skin (zits) got better. soda is soooo bad for you.

I lost 55lbs last fall... around September to December, by eating healthy (low to no carbs, just chicken, fish, turkey, fruits and veggies), exercising constantly and taking Merida, which suppresses your appetite. This summer I put all but 15lbs back on I'm back on it though and see if I can't get back down to where I need to be.

you need to start eating 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 large meals and drink a ton of water. it works, really.

I'm in the middle of a diet I started in May. I've lost about 35 pounds mainly by exercising 4-5 times a week, not eating inbetween meals (most of the time), and only drinking water, diet soda. I am also using this:

diet software

I like it for three reasons: 1. It really makes you aware of what you put in your body, 2. it allows you to set a goal and track it, 3. it tracks your exercise and caloire intake and adjusts how much you can take in that particular day.

You can trial it for free. Now, I would have probably still lost the weight without it, but I have tweaked my diet based on information the softward provides. And its been fun to track a goal with some degree of reliability.

Ephedra is scary. Might as well go all the way and take Speed.

Funnily, I've been mostly vegetarian (i make exceptions for sushi) for a month and exercising again and I've actually gained about 10 pounds. I don't get it. My life in general is at an all time high, really, but physically I keep getting worse.

I don't think anyone "needs" to lose 10 lbs in a week. It's not like you've got the weigh in against Holyfield coming up.

If you try and do something stupid to do it, you're a lot dumber than I thought.

When I was 13 and going to modeling/finishing school, we had to keep a food journal and completely cut out all junk food from our diets for one week...I lost over 10 pounds during that one week.

losing 10lbs in the first week of a diet is actually pretty simple. most low-fat, diet foods are very low in sodium...so in those first few days your body will start to carry much less water than usual. combo that with a good workout, and you could near a 10lb loss in a week. from that point on, it's an uphill climb...which is why so many people are motivated with their diet/workouts early on...but stop seeing results and give up.

after that first week, you shouldn't be trying to lose more than 2lbs/week. you might think you can top that, but you're going to find yourself with an eating disorder or some other problem.
