That's extremely cool. Except for the part about James ignoring the fans.

Brandon went tonight, I would think he'd be taping it but who knows.

I'm capping APC on MM tonight cause I was told James talks.

i saw the passes spectacle as i went home on the street car
all i have to say about that so-called jam (if you can even call it that) is..."WTF"
what a horrible way to end a concert.

so, what's the criteria needed to get an aftershow pass anyway? (besides being a 17 year old goth girl)

You'd think I'd be taping, but you'd be wrong. I made it through the security check A-ok, but the guy standing by the coat check said "check the bag". I said "No, it's ok, they just checked it at the door". He said "check the bag, or you leave the building." On that note, I checked my bag, and therefore did not end up taping, since all my gear was in there. Cranny? Where are/were you? You're our next hope for a tape, AND you've got my money!

Those guys think they're so tough. At Kool Haus I went back inside to look for ****** cause she ditched me, and one of the guards started walking up to me and he was saying "no re-entry" and I was saying I have to find my friend she's right over there (at the end of the hall) and he kept walking towards me saying "no re-entry!" and he kept walking up and he was telling me to get out and right before he started trying to kick my ass I said "I'm going!" and I left. He wasn't that tough, just tall and had backup!

i just thought the show was an overall disappointment compared to the other times i've seen them

yeah, as for the tough part...
i was standing next to a guy that snapped one picture (we were standing on the stairs next to the sound board, so like the picture was any good) and maynard's bodyguard literally jumped off of the stage and ran through the crowd to this guy, yelled at him for the film, took it and went back to his place on the stage.

i'm just really angry about my experience at this show.
i don't even know why i support this band anymore.

I underestimated how massive that guy is, but he was so friendly and hung out with fans for a bit http://forums.netphoria.org/wwwboard/icons/icon14.gif. Though I didn't get to see James (which was the original plan), I'm still glad I stuck around the extra hour after the show.

yes, it was him!
he was pretty sarky with me too because i was speaking to one of my co-workers from work (who happened to be guarding the bus)
i told him that i could honestly care less if any one of the band members came out of the bus, which was the truth because i didn't even flinch when billy, james and twiggy came out at different points

what did he do to you guys?

The tour security for APC was a complete asshole.

I don't know his name, but he's short, rather fit, and has spikey, almost military-like hair.

He's a fucking asshole though. He almost grabbed a guy for having a picture the first night (when i worked).

The second night he completely ignored most people.

And you can only get backstage if you have huge breasts.

I worked the aftershow on wednesday, and twiggy, james, and billy were all very cordial with fans, taking time to talk to almost everyone (along with all the members from Pygmy..).

I didn't see maynard, not that i know exactly what he looks like anyways.

On thursday, my own company wouldn't let me back to the afterparty. Fucking bullshit.

Maynard's a fucking dick - there was a stipulation on wednesday with the guards that, if any of them looked back at his performanc,e he'd walk off stage.

If he wasn't so fucking good at what he does, i swear to god I would have forgotten about this band a long time ago.

But they are too good for me to ignore, so i'm trying to look past that.

The story about the Kewl Haus security guard (Dead) was rather funny. I probably know the guard you are talking about. Hopefully it wasn't me. I'd like to think i'm not an asshole when i work. But you have to understand that sometimes it isn't our fault that the rules and regulations of the building are so strict, and we just have to do our job.

It's even worse when people ignore us and walk away. That's when we'll get angry... Though most guards will get angry ANYWAYS, because they are so self-conscious about themselves that, once they put on the red shirt, they have to act all fucking macho and arrogant.

Just tell him to fuck himself and find someone who can actually SPEAK to people.

i'm really glad i did. these two shows were definitely worth the free dollars i paid.

and hey, whether or not you like pigmy's music, the guys are top-notch, world- class and downright awesome. especially compared to the way a perfect circle treat their fans (maynard & iha = ignore, twiggy = degrades girls, dunno about howerdel & the drummer)

They made scalping really hard the second night, as with all double shows.
The scalpers wanted $150 and then went down to $125, so i knew it was game over by then.
The house of blues guy ended up letting people in at the door for $40 about 5 minutes before APC came onstage because the Opera House's capacity wasn't full.
Ha, if it wasn't, i'd sure like to see what it's like on a sold out night.
i felt like a fucking sardine in there.

APC just lost my $60 for any future shows. and I think I'll forget about buying their album too.
i have so many replies regarding this show because i am just so outraged.

damn right i'm thinking twice about buying the album. I've already got the boyfriend burning it for me on soulseek.

oh, and just so you know....Todd says that you pay to HEAR the band....not to take pictures, meet them or any of those other perks. At least that's what he was telling the guy who took that one innocent picture beside me.

i'm torn, dude.

i KNOW that he's super-shy. i KNOW that he doesn't "get" fans' enthusiasm for him and his work. that's why i appreciated the fact that we even got two minutes with him in london and xtina and i got hugs from him.

but at the same time, even b0lly fakes being nice and being interested in what people say to him.

there are some rock stars that are just stand-out NICE people. people like melissa auf der maur, andrew wk, foo fighters (all 4 of them), wayne coyne, mike savage & danny carey all come to mind.

and the more i think about it, i feel that james should show a little more appreciation from his fans. apparently, at the 9/11 aftershow (this is hearsay from a girl with a pass), she talked excitedly to him about how much she loved his work, his solo album, etc. and how nice it was to see him onstage again. APPARENTLY he replied, "yeah... can i have your phone number?"

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK.

I never really viewed it like that, maybe before, but not nowadays. I think he loves to hear how god he is, which isnt a bad thing. He's got an ego, but I dont see him as shallow.

And as far as James goes, that kinda goes against how I viewed him.
