I find women of all races attractive but the most attractive to me are: Russian, Colombian, and White-American women. Also girls who are part African American/part white.

I've only dated white American girls at this point. And one Canadian girl but that seems about the same.

I have seen some really attractive Native Americans. That woman in Smoke Signals was very pretty. Did you guys see that movie? Oh i just found out her name is Irene Bedard. Doesn't sound terribly indigenous to me but whatever.

My preference is for pale white girls with dark brown or black hair. Asians are good too.

The problem is that when you grow up among primarily one race, you learn to form more specified standards of attractiveness around that race, and therefore are less likely to think that other races are attractive (or unattractive). Or you might find other races attractive primarily on the basis that they're different. I'm not saying this is the only way it works, but because you're so heavily influenced by one race around you, it's hard to come up with a fair comparison. Besides, attractiveness involves more than physical beauty, it also has to do with the way a person carries themselves, etc., and standards that don't fit into racial patterns.

I'm NOT saying this to invalidate your question, so don't get on my case, I'm just saying that, for example, most of the people I've been specifically attracted to have been white, but it had nothing to do with the fact that they were white. I don't find white people more attractive than others, it's just that I've had the opportunity to connect and come into close contact with more whites and therefore become attracted to them. As far as actual physical attractiveness goes, I think there are as many attractive and unattractive people of any race, and any blip in that is explained by sociological factors and pure luck of the draw. So I honestly can't say.

Certain people do have racial preferences, but obviously the fact that certain races are more attractive to them have to do with certain physical traits or combinations of physical traits, which, if disconnected from the race (i.e. if people just randomly looked white or black or Indian, but weren't necessarily of that race), speaking of those preferences in terms of race wouldn't make any sense. There aren't lines drawn around races.

Just a thought. Bleh. I'm going to regret this.

It's not even so much derogatory here except in the sense that it sounds like you're talking about a rug instead of a person.

i don't consciously think about it, but i've noticed this:

i tend to go either for olive or "darker" skinned people (not african american--i have been attracted to a few, but it doesn't seem to be the norm for me) with very dark brown eyes and very dark hair

OR blue-eyed, fair-haired, tall aryan types. my first boy-next-door crush was the latter, my first girlfriend the former, and my "attraction" preference seems to have followed suit...

of course, those aren't the only types of people i'm ever attracted to, but that's my general pattern, i guess.
