What a great show! I was there too - in the reserved seating but not pit . Thanks for posting the setlist, I had half of it written down but my pen ran out of ink. Did you have as bad as a time I did getting out of the parking lot as I did? Nobody moved for like an hour after the show, it was practially 1am by the time we left the lot

I agree it was quite the awesome show, which I felt was full of surprises. to those stuck in a bad parking situation, were you in the lot that was in a kind grassy/gravel filled field right by the river. if so, I feel your pain. we sat in one spot for 45 minutes waiting for the line of cars to start moving. after that time, one of the people in our group (six in all in my car) noticed that the other side of the lot was moving a little so we drove over to that side and got back to pennsylvania within a half an hour after being glared at by this girl asking me "not to cut her off" after she let everyone in camden in front of her. I think that show was definately on par with the first time I saw them (8.17.01).

Columbia went like this:
01 the gloaming 02 2+2=5 03 sit down. stand up 04 where i end and you begin 05 airbag 06 pyramid song 07 paranoid android 08 a wolf at the door 09 sail to the moon 10 you and whose army 11 there there 12 go to sleep 13 dollars and cents 14 we suck young blood 15 idioteque 16 creep 17 the national anthem Encore #1: 18 i will 19 myxomatosis 20 just 21 how to disappear completely Encore #2: 22 no surprises 23 everything in its right place Thumbs up: A Wolf at the Door There There Absolutely gorgeous weather Thom's new schtick where he makes faces into the camera during You and Whose Army. It really is quite funny. Sing-alongs The band's great light show Thumbs down: Terrible, terrible traffic after the show was over. The ampitheater's basically in the middle of downtown suburbia, and there's only 2 ways out. Add that to the fact that thousands of people parked for free in an office building or the so-close-you-can-walk mall and it was sad. The people who kept throwing Thom off during We Suck Young Blood by clapping out of time |

a) according to the merriweather site, you don't have to pay additional for parking because the cost of parking is '*******d' in the ticket, so if you parked at the mall, you paid to park somewhere you could have parked for free. there's not sufficient parking for that venue. we should demand our parking fee from the ticket to be refunded. b) traffic on the way _IN_ was horrible. i live < 150 miles from the venue and it took me over _5_ hours to get there. i got there during the middle of 'there there'. actually i pulled up by the place during pyramid song, but because of the parking situation i didn't get inside for 5 more songs... i know people that ended up getting there even later. it's a horrible location for a venue and it's a horrible venue. c) the sound was not so great. and i hear the view from a lot of places wasn't so good. the whole place seemed really cramped.. and there was no air flow. d) what's with a big place like that not having BATHROOMS? e) what's with a show like that starting at 630? i mean.. i go to a lot of shows that don't start until after this one had ended (940pm). it was nice to get back home at only 120am, but i was a bit digusted that i drove over 8 hours total for only 1 hour of music. |

I keep trying to think of what songs I really want to hear...and I'm realizing that it doesn't really matter.
Any setlist they throw together will be just fine. About 30 more hours. woo |
