I'm surprised to see The Doors on there, but I fully concur with the rest of the list.

They had me with #1, but the Doors? Primus?

Why throw Pat Boone in there, it's not even the right genre.

As most of these usually are... dumb.

I'd say Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit should be added to the list, but didn't this magazine name the former the best artist of 2002 or something like that?

And yeah, Primus should be nowhere near there. I suppose the Doors too, although I don't care much for them. Blind Melon isn't a bad band either.

And what would be the right genre?

It's just a list put together by a music magazine. Relax, kids.

Man, Blind Melon doesn't deserve that. The Doors, in all seriousness, shouldn't be on there, but I won't say they don't deserve it.

I would've been upset if The Doors didn't make the list. They're the most overrated band in rock and roll. I'm sick of these half-wits saying that Jim Morrison was a genius; he wasn't. He couldn't sing, his most profound statement was "Father? I want to kill you. Mother? I want to fuck you." and he's no longer remembered for his music as much as he was going on stage drunk and stripping.

People in the 60s loved The Doors because everyone was on so many drugs that anybody who started talking about something nobody understood was immediately praised as God (or The Lizard King) for the day. The only reason why The Doors were given any more recognition was because of some overzealous critics who started gushing over their live act. Hadn't that happened I doubt anyone nowadays would listen to the doors, save the few LA hippies that are on a permanent acid trip.

I like how you neatly sidestepped the fact that The Doors made timeless, catchy, and orignal music.

Of course this magazine is from the editors of Maxim. Only those geeks would be stupid enough to put the Gypsy Kings on the list of the worst artists ever. Ignorant fools.

I'm gonna state the obvious: They put bands like Primus and The Doors on here to piss people off and be controversial so more people would read and buy the magazine and engage in discussion of the list on internet messageboards.

That said, Primus Sucks.

To kill yourself to.

Jim Morrison was the Sideshow Bob of the 60s. He sucked and they sucked. Their music was catchy in a way that most pop music is, repeating melodies over and over that are so bad that you want to take a drill to your skull to release the horrible noises.

With that said, Skinny Puppy was a great band. I dig those horrible noises.

You know what's catchy about The Doors?

Two words:

Strange Days.
