stupid, as in stupid to pay money to see them or stupid as in unoriginal?

because, even if my favorite bands played the same way live as on record, i'd still want to support them. by buying tickets to see them live.

It sure beats seeing a band that sounds good recorded and completely sucks balls live.

Besides, most people want to hear the songs played live as they are on the record. It's a little alienating when a band is playing your favorite song, you're singing along, and they totally start doing something random.

Personally, I like live shows both ways, but it depends on the band.
