well.

so any guesses on who the new bassist will be?
I think he should just keep stealing bassists from other bands. Maybe justin chancellor (or whatever) from tool, just to piss off tool fans.

Hello Clara.
I want to let you know that I am no longer with Zwan. My experience with Zwan has
been great but it is time for me to move on to new projects.
This Fall I will be dedicating my time with David Pajo as Papa M. I am currently

We also hope to start recording shortly after that.

These are the dates we have so far. These dates are not confirmed:

10-4 Chicago, IL
10-6 Louisville, KY
10-7 Memphis, TN
10-8 New Orleans, LA
10-9 Houston, TX
10-10 Austin, TX
10-12 TBA
10-13 TBA
10-14 Tucson, AZ
10-15 San Diego, CA
10-17 LA, CA
10-18 SF, CA
10-20 Portland, OR
10-21 Seattle, WA
10-23 Salt Lake City, UT
10-24 Denver, CO
10-25 Lawrence, KS
10-26 Columbia, MO (tba?)
10-27 St. Louis, MO?

Tickets go on sale 4 weeks before the shows.

Thank you,
Paz

Thank you for posting that.

Could this situation be the "family matters" that derailed the tour? This makes me wonder a little about David. Geez I wonder about this band as a whole, now.

looks like it's time for billy, matt, and jimmy to start a 3 man band ala green day.

that would be funny, just picture it.

Well...this is a bit of a shock actually.

5 Questions.

1. Will Paz be replaced?

2. Is Pajo going too?

3. Can the band go on without either of them?

4. Who will play the violin on the Djali record, if it ever happens?

5. Will Billy get pissed off at all this shit and unleash Dark Zwan

a tad late, but still good enough time to re-join a perfect circle's tour supporting their new release !!

Billy - lead guitar
Maynard - vocals
James - rhythm guitar
Paz - bass
Josh - drums

Hopefully nobody. If anything, I hope this leads to the Djali Zwan lineup of December 2001 making the album. That lineup was 3 guitars and drums. I wasn't a huge fan of the violin use in the more recent acoustic Zwan shows (except for maybe in Friends as Lovers...in that case the violin suited the song). I was personally thinking that Paz's presence in the band would overcomplicate the Djali songs, as the band would have to find ways to add violin solos and off key backup singing in the songs. I think this way, maybe there's a chance that we'll hear Djali songs with the same rawness that the ones we heard in 2001 had.

PS. I think that when/if Zwan plays their first Paz-less show, they should open with Chicks Just Get in the Way.

I guess that's what happens when you stop sleeping with the lead singer of your band...break up...cause a tour to be cancelled, and can't put differences aside.

What a shame, b/c I really liked Paz, plus she has the best ass on any bassist I've ever seen.

yeah. if he leaves it will be just a bunch of fucked up weirdos.

seriously though. this really saddens me. a lot. this probably means pajo will leave as well, and i was really looking forward to what djali zwan would sound like with him playing a bigger role.

god damn. fuck. this makes me sad.

this is no suprise. it's because she and sweeney broke up, that's what cancelled the tour. this is better than the original rumor i heard that zwan broke up.
