He cares not whether their tight leather pants conceal an innie or an outie, for Molko is an equal opportunities pop perv. Openly, nay stridently, bisexual, he once boasted to me about the monumental amount of back-stage bonkage he received now that he was "world famous" - probably twice as much as any unisexual pop star, he reasoned.

He was easy to dislike - cold, American, wittering on in a high, nasal voice about the band's predilection for narcotics, his own youthful beauty, his "elegant amorality" and the fact that the British music press gave him such a hard time he felt like a black man being lynched in the American deep south. Yes, really. I have no idea how well Molko, er, "performs" live but it's my duty to report that Placebo's fourth album Sleeping with Ghosts (Virgin) is for the most part as limp as overcooked pasta.
