Yes. After WWII, the nations who defeated the Axis powers were given seats: The US, France, England, Russia, China. However, France really didn't do much "defeating," hence my original question is valid.

As I stated in my reply, France didn't really contribute to the defeat of the Nazis. They pretty much just rolled over and died until the UK and US liberated them.

I don't know what you're arguing with me for. I've already heard this ten thousand times and I don't care if somebody hates france because they were "pussies" in world war 2. All I'm objecting to is the fact that you say "god knows what reason" when there is a plainly obvious reason, and it is a very stupid reason, indeed.

I don't hate France because they were pussies in WWII. I hate them for a ton of other reasons.

My point was I don't understand why they were put on the permanent Security Council when they didn't really defeat the Nazis any more than, say, Poland.

It's always "more time" with them, no?
