Unhappy i got laid off about an hour ago

like one hour ago.....i was told by Lee that I had to leave cos they were hiring a legal secretary and that she was going to be taking my desk....since i am not a legal secretary, but like a secretary helper i was not qualified to remain there any longer
so this is a good thing, despite the fact that i came home crying
the office and the people working there are very disorganized
i am not
i spoke to my mom on the phone a bit ago, and she told me that this was a sign for better things to come, and this could finally be my chance to concentrate on my photography for good
so i think i will just do that. make more business cards, talk to mroe people, promote, finish my online portfolio
this is tough though, and i feel like shit, but things happen for a reason right?
well then. that is life

but maybe not in the way you mean

With the plethora of sex threads as of late, I clicked on this thinking that it said "I just got laid an hour ago." It went from a happy thread to a sad thread pretty fast. That sucks.

Hopefully your mom is right and good things are on the way. Good luck!

Yes, everything happens for a reason. Focusing on your photography sounds like a great plan.

sounds like my company. I wouldn't be surprised if my whole division is laid off by next month.

I'm sorry. I hope things work out.

Your lack of periods and commas, along with the blatant missuse of elipses made me not be able to read the post.

Judging from the topic, however, I will say I'm sorry and I hope you find a new job soon.

Sucks about the job - how deperately do you need the money? If you can get by awhile it would be worth concentrating on your photography, since you seem to be considering it. And you learned a valuable lesson about work!

Eh, it's what you get when your boss keeps walking by every 15 seconds and is strongly against posting on messageboards at work. So it goes.

Ha, that's ironic. That's exactly what it was like here today. Except it got really warm and now it's like a sweatbox outside. Gotta love the south, eh?

You are most likely right. Yet, I don't really care much about those things online. I was just giving her a hard time for really no reason.

twi light fadez, be happy that you have such a supportive mom. She seems like a nice lady.

Moms always know how to set things right

DeviousJ, if there was a light, and there was a shitter, and the light in that shitter never went off, you would be that light.
