Default "Enter the Matrix" game

I'm trying to download it from Kazaa, but there are millions of versions with different filesizes of it. Does anyone happen to know which one is the real deal?

Anybody know how to hack the matrix so you can watch the FMV sequences again?

I breezed through the first disc on easy, thought better of it, then went back and I’m trying it again on normal. I don’t blow through the game in under a week.

Yeah, I know but I’m not an insider and I don’t feel like dishing out my credit card # for a “free risk 7 day trail” that I’m gonna cancel anyway and then they have my card # and could charge me for God knows what. Could you do me a solid and copy and paste the hack the matrix bit? Or just how to unlock the FMVs? That would rule.

Hacking allows you to actually Enter the Matrix and dig deep into the game's special features. To get to them, however, you'll need to know how. Here's a little **********.

In order to hack, you must have a saved game. If you want to get right into it, start the game, save after the first movie, then quit and begin to hack. Everything in the Hacking menu is controlled through a DOS prompt. Press any key to begin, and an A:\> will be displayed. This is the drive you're currently working in (remember, you're inside a computer). The commands you used to use on your DOS computer will work here. Therefore, if you type DIR, you will get a directory of the current drive.

Here is a quick list of commands available to you while hacking:

BEEP: Makes beeping noises.
CHEAT: Enter cheats. You must first run cheat.exe.
CLS: Clears all text from screen.
DIR: Shows the files contained in the indicated drive.
EXIT: Quit Hacking.
HELP: Tells you the meaning of a command. For instance, HELP DIR will show you possible
LOGIN: Jacks you into the network.
READ: Look at a .TXT file.
REBOOT: Starts over.
VIBRATION: Super useful. Vibrates your controller.

DECODE: Decodes codes found in real world.
DROP: Puts extra weapons into your saved game.
PLAY: Watch movie files.
TRACEKILL: Stop a trace program.
VIEW: Look at images and such.
VIRTUAL: Allows access to virtual network.

Once you type one of these messages, it will appear in the green screen to the left of the keypad, and you can simply click on the word to start the command.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hack This Way
You can hack however you want and explore the system using the commands above, but this section will tell you how to unlock everything you want to see in the game... in specific order. We'll take you all the way to unlocking the multiplayer, which is what you're after, isn't it?

To start, just press any button when you see the words "System Clean." Then type HELP when the prompt shows up. This message appears:

A:\> HELP
HELP: To show usage for any known system command.
Usage: HELP
Example: HELP DIR

Type HELP DIR to see what they mean, then type DIR A:. The following list will be revealed:

SYSTEM
TOOLS
TEXT

Type DIR A:\> SYSTEM to see the files in that folder. Here's what you get:

REBOOT.EXE
HELP.EXE
CLS.EXE
LOGIN.EXE
DIR.EXE
EXIT.EXE
READ.EXE
ECHO.EXE

Type any one of these commands to see what it does. If you type READ, for instance, it will be entered into the green area to the left of the keypad. Clicking on it will take you to a menu of possible choices. The PASSWORD option will take you to some websites to find codes at, and the MANUAL files are self-explanatory. Click on the NOTEZ.TXT file to get this message:

-Checked storage / need bigger drive for download
-Don't forget to backup/wipe disc
-Drive B needs attention
-B: Surveillance archive is progressing.

Changed VIRTUAL DRIVE Password to: FROZENFISH

Weird. Perhaps the password will come in handy. You can also use Drive A for cheat codes. Type CHEAT.EXE at the prompt to add CHEAT to the left nav. Then type CHEAT and one of the codes below to get that stuff in the game.

All weapons and max firepower: 0034AFFF
Bonus test level: 13D2C77F
Double movement speed: FF00001A
Enemies do not detect you: FFFFFFF1
Enemies do not hear you: 4516DF45
Faster Logos flight speed: 7867F443
Infinite ammo: 1DDF2556
Infinite focus: 69E5D9E4
Invisibility: 1DDF2556
Infinite health: 7F4DF451
Low gravity: BB013FFF
Multiplayer fighting: D5C55D1E
Restore focus faster: FFF0020A
Sparks Construct: 13D2C77F
Taxi driving: D5C55D1E
Turbo mode: 7F4DF451

To turn a cheat off, re-enter it. Note that certain cheats have the potential to screw up your game. Certain cheats lock the game, others make a bomb appear at the starting point. If a cheat is causing glitches, simply turn it off.

To visit a different drive, namely B:\>, enter LOGIN.EXE. Type GUEST as the computer tells you to to go to the B Drive. At the A:\> prompt, type DIR B:. You'll see this list:

ID
GUNS

FMV
MAPS
CARS
TOOLS

When you type DIR, the full list of subdirectories will open on the left. Many of the files will be locked at this time. Enter the TOOLS directory to the left. It will tell you that the directory is binary encrypted. Use a series of 1's and 0's to try to crack the code. Each time you do, the CPU will tell you how many digits you properly have in place. Keep working until you get the code right (it's random each time you do this), and you'll get this list:

VIEW.EXE
VIRTUAL.EXE
TRACEKILL.EXE
DROP.EXE
PLAY.EXE
DECODE.EXE

VIEW allows you to look at images you've unlocked. Type VIEW.EXE to get an example, then scan the ID's to see what you've unlocked thus far. The DROP.EXE file will place weapons in strategic locations in your game.

Remember that Virtual Drive password you got? Time to use it. Type VIRTUAL at the prompt and press ENTER. Use the password FROZENFISH to get in. Then you'll have to play a mini-game to get the character at the center screen to look right. It's obvious how you should change it, so move the square around the character and press START to change the tile you're over until you make a complete picture. There is a time limit, so move fast.

If you see a number quickly counting down, you'll have to use TRACEKILL.EXE to stop the program, or you'll lose all of your progress. Move fast!

If you get the character looking right, you will gain access to the V Drive. V contains a TOOLS and ROOT directory. Look at the Tools directory by typing DIR V:\TOOLS. You'll get this list:

ROOTSEARCH.EXE
DIAL.EXE

Type ROOTSEARCH, and you'll get this message:

ROOTSEARCHER v1.1
Searching for ROOT ADMIN Password: THIISNOTREAL
Submitting Password: THISISNOTREAL
Administrator: Authenticated.

Then type DIR V:\ROOT to get this:

MAIL.EXE
PORTKEY.EXE

Type MAIL. Then type in the admin password: THISISNOTREAL. Typing that elicits this response:

MAIL v2.4 - (your free trial period has expired.)
Checking ADMIN Email Account.
(1) - eMail(s) in Inbox Do you wish to read email(s)?

Type Y to read them, and you'll get an email with a bunch of phone numbers on them.

001-949-555-0112
001-714-555-0187
001-213-555-0142
001-310-555-0111

Type DIAL 0013105550111 and you'll hear Trinity give you instructions. She'll tell you to use code 942. Time to use the PORTKEY function. Type PORTKEY 942, and you'll get a text message from Trinity that reads:

>Knock. Knock.
>Hi, it's me, Trinity.
>Thanks for opening the Port.
>Been having any problems with the system?

Respond N, and get this:

Good, the link works…
>Do you know how to get to your RAM drive?

Respond N again, and she'll say she can't chat on the line, but she'll download a crack. The CRACK command appears in your list. Use it to type CRACK 8RAM. This will give you access to the RAM drive. Do a DIR RAM: to see:

TRINITY
PROG
BIO

Enter DIR RAM:\TRINITY to see the following options:

TRAINING.EXE
HANDSHAKE.EXE

READBIO.EXE

To read the bios, enter a phrase like READBIO RAM:\BIO\NIOBE.BIO. Try GHOST and other characters from the Matrix universe.

For the final piece of the puzzle, enter HANDSHAKE. This will log you on a chat with the Logos operator, Sparks. He asks you what's up. Any response will do. Once you respond, Sparks will have a little fun at your expense. He pretends you uploaded a virus to the Logos, and tells you Sentinels are headed his way. He tells you that he needs you to use an EMP. Access the LOGOS:\ drive and type EMP. Sparks will confess he was just messing with you, then tell you that he gave you a gift… it's the multiplayer game. Then he plays a message from Neo for you. Finally, he compliments your skill and logs off. Press any button to end the Hacking and save.

When you get back out to the main menu, make sure you have a second controller plugged in and access the Loading function. Load the game you just saved, then move left to get to the multiplayer. There are several arenas available, and each has its own batch of fighters. Everyone from Niobe to Morpheus to Policecar Man are here. Check them out. Play with your friends. Enjoy the fruits of your labors!

yeah me too. it really immersed you into the matrix world. the intersecting storyline with the movie was a great concept. the different missions depending on which character you use (resident evil 2) was cool. the "bullet time" (yeah yeah max payne) was hella cool too.

but I do understand the criticisms of this game. the graphics are not that great and the game is pretty easy (especially since all you have to do is take a breather to heal), and it basically is just a button masher.

Red face

Anyhoo, I just got the Animatrix DVD yesterday and I watched Final Flight of the Osiris (which I had seen before but a crappy bootleg copy. It looked amazing on DVD) and the 2nd Renaissance. Part II of 2nd Renaissance is really fucked up and I was super-tired when I watched it so it really affected me. That first version of the Matrix that they show is fucking crazy. And I say that “Surrender your flesh” is officially creepiest line more than anything I’ve heard in the two Matrix movies so far.
