Question about Perfect single and Daphne Descends single

Okay, so on the actual album, Perfect, by itself, ends upbruptly, since it's supposed to fade into Daphne Descends. And Daphne Descends, by itself, starts upbruptly, since it's supposed to fade from Perfect. But on the singles, is it the same way? Or are they different mixes? Like, on the Perfect single, does Perfect end upbruptly, or does it kinda fade out, or...? And on the Daphne Descends single, does it just start upbrupty, or does it kinda fade in, or...?

Monte, I know you have the Daphne single... would you mind checking it? Or even, ripping a mp3 of it if it's different from the album?

I don't own the daphne promo, but I own the 3 different perfect singles, I'm almost sure in all of those, on the end of Perfect you can listen to the start of Daphne during the fade out (that guitar sound), it seems to be exactly the same as in the album.

it is a 1 tracker. their is no b-side for DD single cause their no real DD single just this really rare promo. anyways the track is EXACTLY the same as the album version. if u rip DD it will play that noise u hear at the end of Perfect.

Perfect fades out on the Perfect single. There are a number of tracks that are similar to this, but nobody ever labels them as single edits. BUT THEY ARE!

1979 and Rhino are both edited on the 1979 single and Lull. Can't think of anything else.

Whenever I mention the fact that 1979 is different on the single, nobody else seems to know what I'm talking about.

Thanks for the info. That sucks about Daphne, though... but I guess it is only a promo.

Anyone have a mp3 of Perfect from the single... with the fade-out? I'm looking to make a Pumpkins mix for someone, and would like to use Perfect, but I hate how the album version just cuts off. And it's impossible to find one on Kazaa, etc, cause they're all the album version ones. So any help would be awesome. I'm Reyngel on AIM.

The intro on the single has one or two less beats before the guitar part starts than on the album. Its this way on both the normal single and the TAFH single. I noticed it the first time I ever played the single, I find it strange that nobody else has ever noticed it.

UPDATE I just listened to it from TAFH and its the same as the album. I don't have my regular single anymore to check but I'm sure its different on that one. Someone check!!

I just compared the 1979 from the original single and the one from TAFH and they are exactly the same thing.

btw it was the euro 6 track single that had the different intro. I don't know if that makes any difference. I gave it to my ex girlfriend.

Dude, just put it in CoolEdit or SoundForge and put a fade out on the end if you want one.

i'd like to see the daphne descends promo, i've seen crestfallen and to sheila but never daphne descends. This would fill me with 17 seconds of goodness.

It's nothing special in terms of artwork. It's just a cardboard sleeve, like the one for the Still Becoming Apart promo... it has the artwork from the cover of the Adore vinyl, which is the color version of the girl inside the flower. And it says "Daphne Descends" in Novella font on the front.

Yep, I even took it out of the crappy gray plastic cd case and put it in a transparent one to further enhance its greatness.
