do warnings show up in your driving records?

i got a stopped for speeding a while back, and the cop was nice enough to give me a warning..does that show up in my records at all?

I heard a while back that they do now... or they count on the record so that if another cop pulls you over they'll know if you've been stopped for that violation before so they will be forced to give you a ticket instead of another warning.

But as far as insurance or anything like that goes, I don't think it matters towards that...

I could be wrong though... I'm not sure.
