Do it. Be a pothead too. It's nice. I've been at this blue collar, alcohol serving place many times and have never seen a brawl. And that's in godamn Riverside. I'd imagine San Francisco would be much easier going.

The rednecks love to squeal their big ass tires, because I'm, GASP, walking! The white guy with the rebel flag bandana has been up for three days and is giving me the evil eye. My neighbor just got jumped in the alley behind the apartments yesterday. The cops came and couldn't charge the guys with anything. Last night dozens of people of people were on their bikes at 4 in the morning. People here are incredibly racist, yet they don't have any racial issues when it comes to buying drugs, well, not drugs, speed. Soon, thank god, I'll be back in Thailand- but, tomorrow I'll be back at work, god I feel like a whore.

therein lies the irony. If you want to WORK at a club where you only show your tits, you have to be 21 'cos there's alcohol. However, if you're 18 and need a job, you can only do the all-nude places.

Anyway, i say go for it. Stripping can fuck a girl up, but if you're strong enough to handle it, more power to you.

Yeah but all the stuff I heard there was popular music. That might just be because they had really shitty taste in music. One chick picked nickelback and lifehouse, another played all disturbed, the rest of them just played rap and pop, that sort of thing. I'd want to dance to new order and shit. They'd better fucking let me dance to blue monday, goddammit.

Here's to creative stripping. Make an art form of it. Start a revolution. You'll have the whole place under your thumb in no time.

once I had a male friend who did a strip dance to a fucked up Aphex Twin track at work (long story). ever since then i've kinda wondered if there's an entire alternative stripping scene just waiting to be tapped and exploited - kinda like the goth/emo porn sites that have gotten huge in the last few years. from what i understand you can choose your music depending on if the club's DJ lets you or wants a hummer in exchange, etc. if you get creative i'm sure you can make a name for yourself pretty fast.
then again in canada there's no distinction between topless and all-nude. it's all-nude or nothing. maybe things work differently. who knows. for some reason this thread makes me jealous.

I saw someone stripdance to ani difranco's "Pixie."
"I'm a pixie, i'm a paper doll, i'm a cartoon
i'm a chipper cheerful free-for-all
and i lightu p a room
i'm the color me happy girl, miss live and let live..."

Anyway, she was the cute little pixie type so it was kind of appropriate. it worked.

My friend and I have been talking for years about opening our own strip club that features cute goth/punk girls with all different body types (except obese) and cool music. It would be decorated all funky and gothy inside.

I'm not really looking to make a name for myself in stripping, my goal is for everyone to know my name and associate it with fashion. This is something I'll do for a few years while I'm young to pay the bills.

How ironic.

Anyway, am I going to be the first person to say I have a moral aversion to strip clubs? Still, though, that's solely my thing, so if you want it, go for it.

I do, but only for those particular strip clubs that advertise 39 beautiful women and one ugly chick. That's just not right.

Well, I think that's alright cuz, essentially any strip club is an objectification of women so those ones that advertise "39 beautiful women and one ugly one" or something along those lines are really just following the strip-club to its logical conclusion of dehumanization of the women who work there. "This is our product, since they are only there for your pleasure we will tell you straight up that most are hot but one is really ugly."

like I said, I have no problem with dehumanizing and objectifying people who work in strip clubs: that's why they exist. Its naked chicks dancing on stage. That shit is cool and good times. But I don't think people should try to play it off as classy or harmless instead of facing up to what they really are.
