who the hell are you to say that a kind word isn't going to make her feel better? i can't even begin to count the number of times i've seen people post about bad things that have happened to them, and people have replied with sympathy, and the person has come back and thanked them and said they made them feel better. Dishpan and the loss of his fiance comes to mind if you want an example. a kind word is a kind word, whether it comes from your mouth or your keyboard.
