It's important to remember that just because you don't need or value the job, doesn't mean that the people you work with do not. Consider that next time you call out just because you have the feels or whatever. Some other sap (who also has a life) will always have to take your shift.

In no job I've ever had was any hourly employee required to come in on their day off..they usually volunteered to make more money

the person that might be forced to come in, is the salaried store manager

they usually make more than double that of an hourly employee

It's pizza delivery and the kid's had a pretty rough run over the last little while with issues relating to both mental and physical health. Fuck the timeliness of some anonymous pizza recipient's dinner and fuck, too, the possibility that a colleague might have to transport one that they otherwise might not have because it's not as if the boss is going to cut them in half for sending forth on two simultaneous deliveries.
