the thing i've been doing in therapy lately is trying to realize how warped my worldview is. like my parents are super bougie and i'm trying to be normal

like i genuinely thought everyone did that type of shit [calling off for bullshit]. and if i saw someone else do that i'd be like 'oh lol have fun dude'

similarly - you were the one that recommended me Man's Search for Meaning a while back right? Been reading that lately -- whenever I was in rehab I would think about the part where a man is sobbing because his shoes finally fell apart and he had to report to march in the snow in bare feet for the first time. And I realized probably everyone there would slit my throat for my bedsheets

Imagine having parents that could help you with rent and car expenses instead of if having to go the other way around.

Imagine needing a job so little that you can afford to just not go in because you don't feel like it, be explicit about that, and tell your boss to fuck off when he takes issue.

Problem with being flaky re attendance, though, is that you’re not “sticking it” to mgmt as much as u r “sticking” it to your fellow workers

What we need is organized and uniform bargaining vs mgmt, not to be individually terrible employees
