I will weep a bit if we have no "you think you play better than Jack Bates?" shirt but it is a kinda really mean dig at Jack Bates, who is the last person we need to kick with this, or am I thinking wrong?

Is the typeface really a problem? The Smashing Pumpkins probably licensed most of those typefaces associated with them, rather than owning them.

If they would be a problem, it would be due to being the intellectual property of the original creator, not the band, I would think.

I dunno, I just like the idea of having authentic SP fonts, and would definitely like to go for that if it won't get us a cease-and-desist letter.

I have the native file of the "tiny jpg" i posted earlier in this thread. That's a mock-up of my Illustrator file which is more than sufficient for printing purposes.

The #sp2018 font I was using was just one of the defaults on customink; I assume they have all the rights sorted out.

What about the typefaces based on Corgan's handwriting in the SD liner notes? Probably never trademarked that. And somebody else did the work of creating a computer font for that, and released it for free.

Maybe you can just get the money in and then simply donate, not over teespring, but take the 50 bucks you got there and donate outside their site.

I was going to ask would any of you be able to write up a good paragraph about why we are donating to the charity and why it would be the one "good" thing to come out of this whole drama? I know many of you are really good with grammar skills. They usually give me text box for this when a charity is involved.
