Don't get me wrong here, I'm all for social justice and justice of all kinds, but from what I've seen, people lack perspective. In India, section 377 states that gay people can't have sex. I'm part of a group that advocates for LGBT+ rights. The court is reconsidering its decisions now. Just saying, there are bigger issues to deal with.

there are places in the US where there are still sodomy laws which are sometimes enforced. You have no fucking idea what you are talking about

I have no clue what you are trying to say with the SCOTUS case. you surely must know that like India, the United States uses a federalist system with multiple layers of government acting independently of each other. The Supreme Court has no power to enforce rulings. There are still issues here where same sex couples are being denied basic rights, including marriage.

If I come to the US, I'll have to see for myself, you know? The US on average is better educated, and I'd expect it to be much better around there. I only have studies to rely on, not real life experience.

As a point of reference, UNDOC stats put the female homicide rate per capita in India at 1.4, and in the US at 1, neither of which are very high.

I'm not saying there isn't any, or if I did, let me rephrase: it's falling at a baffling rate. in the next year or so, I really don't see a lot sexism-realated issues among educated people here, at least. Most people are taught this stuff, and there are a lot of government programs out here attempting to achieve gender equality. Really took off in a short amount of time.
