Safeway doesn't have self check-out aisles in this crappy town either, just Walmart as well. But Walmart is cheaper, why don't you just shop there?

Yeah, I love Walmart. Cheap prices on food and they often have good clothes, cheap CD's and DVD's. I enjoy shopping there.

Because it's on the other side of town. Safeway is the only supermarket within walking distance (20 mins). Grocery Outlet is 45 and Walmart is 1:30. So I'm stuck, especially when I get milk or potatoes (heavy stuff).

I will try to go to Grocery Outlet as much as possible. They are the cheapest (got a decent chianti for $5!) and better quality than Walmart. But when the weather gets wintry it will be relentless warfare with the cashiers of Safeway lolol.
