austin was the first place i saw an alternative-type hipster person wearing a popped up collar. i was maybe 13 and she was a short brunette short-haired white lady with sunglasses and wearing brown polo short popped. i was sitting outside of kirby lane waiting for a table with my family and she was chatting with some similarly cool friends lol. even then, i was like, dang, austin is changing.

yeah that freaks me out. i don't like it.

i just can't run anymore. it used to be a cool and fun workout, but maybe chicago just doesn't provide the right motivation for running. the scenery kinda sucks and it's too exposing. plus, my knees.

we got this baller setup in DA DUNGON pre-covid, which is a blessing during covid. since i took this pic, we've added a larger carpet, another bench, adjustable dumbbells, a can of lysol, and the drums are uncovered.

Yeah, whether you feel like running outside can definitely depend on how walkable your surroundings are. I'm lucky to live in the city that apparently has the most paths in all of North America.

I've also been worrying about my knees. I've been running almost every day for the past couple of weeks, but it's probably best not to run more than three times a week, due to the impact on the knees. Maybe I should cycle more.

I've actually been drinking more than ever due to the influence of my roommates, but still not enough that I have a cool drinking problem.

And I actually did have sex last night, weirdly enough. I feel like they call it "getting lucky" because if you're a single man, unless you're part of the top-tier 20% of dudes who can just fuck all the time, it always feels like "wow how did I manage that, it's a Halloween miracle."
