The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Ames, whose real name is Mercedes Grabowski, had passed away but did not give a cause.

It's odd that she picked a performer pseudonym when she was already born with an appropriate name.

to be completely honest, her death has gotten to me much more than any of the recent rock star deaths.

because she wasn't a celebrated member of society you're not going to be seeing any psuedo-emotional obituaries about her on your facebook feed, but to me the life trajectory of that beautiful young lady is just tragic. nobody ends up in porn because they enjoy being exploited, and she apparently couldn't take anymore of it by the time she was twenty three. if that isn't heartbreaking, i don't know what is.

the thought of all her videos staying up online, now depicting the former sexual exploits of a deceased ghost, is so fucked and dark and upsetting. i'm honestly sorry she couldn't have a better life, because she was definitely beautiful enough to make a career in anything she wanted except porn.

he lives in a rural/non-urban area, so I believe he is mostly surrounded by people who think like him, which partially explains why he is so dense about his bigotry. he doesn't get that it's actually him who lives in a backwards bubble inside a larger, more liberal and forward-thinking society

I don't see how it helps anything to not acknowledge that he is being influenced by a much more racist, sexist, and anti-intellectual culture than the ones most of us grew up in.
