only anecdotally. my sister was in an orchestra in high school and the conductor's son transitioned into a woman. however, this was in the 90s and i am not sure if he (now she) had hormone therapy. it was a big scandal but the kid absolutely insisted she was a woman and everyone accepted it in time. according to my mom it was obvious to most people that this was very important to her and was not a childhood fantasy. i think she was in middle school when she came out

pretty tough thing to do for most people, especially considering it was back in the 90s.

yeah, and you can't say the media or people way too sensitive to kids being kids had something to do with it, as this was before people became more accepting or were even aware it existed
