I would watch Amy Adams in anything.

Storm grew up a poor pickpocket on the streets of Cairo, and was part of an African (Kenyan) tribe who literally thought she was a "witch" due to her weather powers, and how it affected their crops. Being African was important to her character's background.

The western entertainment industry should write more roles for Asians and cast more Asians in roles that actually reflect their place in American culture. I don't think anyone who's the least bit culturally aware would dispute this. I don't think this movie is a great example to use for this battle.

Just off the top of my head, Olivia Munn as Psylocke in X-Men Apocalypse. They should have gotten an Asian actress and fleshed out her rich backstory to reflect the comic. The character was bullshit in the film. (although the character has a white british person's brain so fuck that's a pretty problematic example...)
