Yes. I'm close to several cops and gang bangers as are some tech friends of mine. We commiserate on such matters on occasion and that's the word from the criminologist in my family.

The guy took the cash and gave Fuzzy's wallet back, anything else in there can be easily tracked. At that point, absent video showing the crime, it's Fuzzy's word against the guy and his buddies if he had any there. Legally speaking, he's essentially in the clear and he knows it.
