I have accomplished very little today. I did a bit of sight-reading at the old folks home and muddled through. A few of them came up at the end and gripped my hand, and told me they love it when I come to play, and thanked me for coming.

I think in their generation they really learned how to lie to peoples faces without a single crack in their masks, for the good of society as a whole. Nobody really wants to know the truth; fifty years ago, people still appreciated that.

Yeah, but the broth just didn't have much flavor. Soup is always better after sitting for a few days, so we'll see how the rest of it tastes.

Pro-tip/Mansplaination: You can safely thaw meat out on the counter so long as you cook it immediately after its thawed and don't let it sit around (or re-freeze) it. Given how hot you say it's been lately, you probably coulda set that sucker on the counter for an hour and it woulda been good to go.
