Illinois - endless road trips to Chicago (2001, 2002-4, 2006-2009, 2011-2015)

Texas - road tripped with teen church youth group in 1998 (Longview), helped bury my grandpa in 2013 (Pharr) but also went to the Alamo (San Antonio), visited a different border town last year while B was down there opening a store (Laredo/San Antonio for weekend hangs)

Indiana - went on quite a number of road trips growing up to the now-infamous megachurch First Baptist for church conferences and youth trips - a lot of good memories, despite it all (Hammond)

New Mexico - spent 8 days in this beautiful state when I had a vague plan to move here (Albuquerque/Taos/Roswell/Four Corners)

Arizona - B was living there for about half a year and I visited her there for about 4 or 5 days in 2006 (Scottsdale)

Georgia - road tripped to see my cousin get married in 2011, also saw some sites (CNN HQ/civil rights stuff); crazy time in my life that I'm a little nostalgic about (Marietta/Atlanta)

Tennessee - spent some sight seeing time here in 2011 on my way to cousin's wedding (Nashville and Graceland, natch)

Kentucky - spent my short time in the US Army here in 2003/4 (Ft. Knox ofc)

Alabama - went to the NASA thang on my way back from Georgia in 2011; had a cop tell me i couldn't sleep in my car so I rented a shit hole motel for one night (Huntsville)

Iowa - road tripped to see Kill Hannah in 2003 (Iowa City)

Nebraska - road tripped a number of times for shows (YYY, Blood Brothers, etc) (Omaha)

Nevada/Utah/Oklahoma/Colorado - drive throughs

MI - born and raised.

IN - considered moving to South Bend for college with my former best friend. One of my best friends lives in Evansville, been there a couple of times, visited a cave in southern IN. Been to various towns in the northern part of the state.

IL - Chicago. Chicago. Chicago. Like a second home. Sister used to live there.

OH - Cedar Point, the team down south, Hardees on the turnpike and a whole lot of nothing. The state sucks.

WI - Driven through it on the way to MN to visit family.

MN - Family lives there. Pretty boring. The resort had arcade games and a water slide though, so my younger self had more fun that my older self.

WA. Visited Seattle while a friend was there and attended Comic-con with her three years ago. Met Karen Gillan of Doctor Who / Guardians of the Galaxy fame. Hotel had an epic view of Mount Rainier. Beautiful state.

LA - New Orleans is the city equivalent of the hot mess college girl. Tramp, dirty, but a lot of fun.
